How did the Brain (where's Pinky?) manage to easily mind-drain a room full of geeks, yet the club defeats it so easily? It's either a plot hole or something more sinister.

I like that theory, but sadly it isn't supported by the info on Episode 2. Also, Lucas would probably be lynched anyway if it turned out he'd hoodwinked the entire world for 20-25 years.

I think the key to the entire plot lies in those mysterious stripes in the background of the Rumy/Rikk hug scene!

I would also like to add my voice to the sympathy for poor Rumy. Being decent *does* suck.
