Thanks...

Thanks for the kind words.

I posted a big long reply that was really funny. But, now it is gone. What's up with that?

Later...

Weight lifting...

Just like Scottie and Michael, I have taken up an early morning weight lifting regimen. It is going well. I haven't really noticed an increase in strength yet. But, I'm getting over the initial soreness. The problem is, I also play basketball early in the morning. Right after the weight lifting, in ...

All the President's Men...

I watched this movie last night. Pretty sweet! It really shows what it is like to be a reporter. It is about Watergate in case you didn't know and stars Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as Woodward and Bernstein. The thing I thought about while watching this movie was, if all these people are doing...

Monday, August 26...

Monday I lost four games and won zero! Not to mention I played like crap. I think I only won a couple of games all last week. I'm going to blame it on weight-lifting. I started up again last week. But, if I don't turn things around on Wednesday, my self esteem is going to begin to suffer! These are ...

Ankle still hurts, but...

I'd say when I'm on the court I'm at 100%. But, I'll wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning and my ankle will be so sore.

I've been playing for a couple weeks now and I'm outta shape!!!

The house...

We building a house!!! Ooooohhh. Exciting! According to my wife I've withdrawn from the process. I don't care what goes in the house or what it looks like from the outside. I just DON'T CARE! I try to clarify for her my feelings. It is not that I don't care. But, if the walls are Antique White or Cl...

Well, I finally went back down to the gym this morning and played some morning ball. Still about 80%. I'm a little tentative on the ankle. But, it felt nice to get a good run in.

Big business...

I've been reading this book called Double Cross. It is about Mooney Giancanna, the big mob boss in the 50s who controlled America. The book tells about all kinds of stuff like how the mob turned the election so Truman beat Dewey and even says Giancanna ordered the assasination of JFK. I can't help b...

Ooooowwwwwww!!!

After having back spasms on Sunday and Monday, I was finally out on the court again this morning. Five minutes into the first game I landed on Norm's foot and rolled my ankle over terribly. It hurt like having a baby! I put some ice on it and walked it off. I played for another 45 minutes. I could h...

Monday, July 1. Oh my back...

Well, it is official: I haven't played morning ball in a week. Yesterday I picked up Nathan and did something to my back. It was like somebody was giving me a bear hug and I couldn't breathe. I took Motrin last night and couldn't get up this morning. It still hurts severly! Could it be I'm getting o...

Wednesday night league...

Didn't play in the morning. Slept in!!! I guess there were a couple new people. That's good. Played in the Wednesday night league though. We lost again. Damn! How can we lose three in a row? We have a good team. Well, we were behind most of the game to another group of young guys. In the last few mi...

Accounting...

Accounting! That's it. That is my entire explanation of the conspiracy. One word. Accounting. Today we heard about how Worldcom scammed 4 billion dollars. Appearantly, they reported their day to day expenses as investment for the future. Since they can spread the cost of the "investment for the futu...

Wednesday, June 26. Words are free...

A friend used to tell me, "Words are free." This guy, Darryl Price, is one of the funniest most creative guys I've ever met. He could just start talking about anything and ramble on and on and it would be funny. He's a black guy that could do a perfect Forrest Gump imitation. That in itself is hilar...

Tuesday, June 25. The weekend...

I went to lovely Frankenmuth on Saturday to spend my 6th wedding anniversary at my friend's wedding, without my wife as she had to work. Of course, this meant Nathan had to spend the weekend with his grandparents, my wife's parents. Sunday I thought I would help my father-in-law around the yard. He ...

Friday, June 21. The sandbox...

I came home from work last night to find my wife and son in the backyard. Nate was playing in a beautiful new sandbox full of perfectly textured, store-bought sand. The sandbox was one of those plastic jobbies in the shape of a frog. I found this to be interesting because my wife and I used to have ...

Friday, June 21...

Well, I feel sorry for anybody who happens to walk by the court and see a bunch of sorry bastards running up and down the court trying to play what might be called basketball. It is good exercize though. That's what I keep telling myself. I was 2 wins and 2 losses today. Of course 2 wins and 1 loss ...
