Yeah, they're pretty much just like regular MD players, just they can hold actual data, not just music, and they can hold a lot more on existing minidiscs. It'll be perfect for someone like me who likes audiobooks or four or five hour long radio shows (Like Art Bell, though he's seldom on anymore. H...

'Freaky, innit?'
I'm surprised nobody commented on this one yet. :) So in addition to being a juggler and being excellent at balancing things (Particularily on her head) Bippy's also got the ability to respawn right behind you in the time it takes to blink. :) Surprised Gin's at the BK though..this is the first time...

Hmm, I didn't notice that section of minidisc.org before. Hey, all Hi-MD players will act as data drives. Cool! A gig of very portable space. :) Those things just get cooler. But damn, they're expensive...my player in canadian was as much as that model you're going for US. That's insane. But damn, w...

For you Minidisc'ers out there
You hear about the new Hi-MD players? They'll double the amount of music that can be put onto normal minidiscs thanks to new formatting, and with the Hi-MD discs you can have up to FOURTY FIVE HOURS of music on a single disc! Only major drawback is that the one that looks the best and doesn't feel c...

Mine is the silver MZ-N505. I didn't have the extra hundred some bucks to spend for the AM/FM radio which was really the only difference between the 505 and the other one they had :) The 505 will also cram 5 hours of music onto a minidisc..it's an option called 'LP4'...Long play 4x normal length. It...

Actually, minidiscs use their own format. It uses the program on your computer to convert from Mp3, WAV, mindows media, etc into the minidisc format...which is actually smaller than a 128kbit mp3, while staying the same quality. You see, a Minidisc can only actually hold like 128 megs or so of actua...

Minidisc! The forgotten format! Whee! I've been trying to tell people that minidiscs outperform MP3 players of equal size accross the board, but nobody will listen to me! They're amazing, aren't they? A full CD on a self-contained, rather stury little floppy-disk-like cartridge, the ability to recor...

Actually, it does make it better. Digital cable allows for more channels, better quality than analog cable, and music channels standard. Add in the ability to recieve messages from the cable company, order PPV movies without calling the cable company (with just the press of a button in fact) and an ...

Rann, weren't you the one who said you weren't going to post or even read this anymore? If you were so fed up with things why are you still reading? Shut the *HELL* up and *LEAVE* if you're so sick of things. Better yet, go read something like Sexy Losers, that has NO political stuff in it and is pr...
