I would deffinitely agree with that. It's all in the presentation, and how you do it. Actually, Mixed Myth is like that...old and modern renditions of myths, with slight twists. Whether or not I fail to be inovative is not the point, it's the process that matters. Well, that's my opinion at least.

Overall, I'd have to agree with Psiogen on most points. I believe originality still exists. Yes, most things are 'stolen' from other things, previous concepts. But they're also built on, and this involves creativity and originality. Original twists to things. Yeah, you'd have to be a creative genius...

Well give me a jester cap and call me a fool. The visits I listed were the average per /day/. Forgot to note the difference. Per month, it's about 5500.

Something that's helped my comic emensly is signing up with Fantasy Herald. You might go have a look. Oh, and other non-Keen forums, too. Not that I get many visits, but it did help alot.

Great logos! Yeah, the current one is a little...lacking. I'll give it this, though, it does have contrast going for it. Red, yellow, and black are one of the most visible color combinations out there. Yellow and black (bees, hazzard signs, caution tape), and yellow and red (McDonalds, Hardees) espe...

I've seen some really good and really bad examples of manga-influanced comics. I suppose it's a cannon...a set of rules and a style, a method of communication. (i.e. The sweatdrop for unease or embaressment, etc) It's GREAT for drama, humor, etc. But I think that the story also has to be good...it h...

I suppose several things inspire me. I admit to being a rabid gamer, so character concepts and things that happen during game sessions often crop up in my comic. Despite this, it's not meant to be something just for gamers and I hope it can be taken as a story, rather than a spin off of RPGs. I'll a...

Anatomy is hard...especially when you're trying to incorperate different angles. What's even harder for me, though, is backgrounds. THERE'S something I really need to learn. Sometime I'm going to just sit down with a photo of some landscape or building, and just draw it until I get it right.

Let's see...I draw because I can't stop drawing. I have to draw SOMETHING. A pencil has to be in my hands. Mixed Myth just popped into my head one day, and every day a little more plot trickled in. It gave me something solid to try, more or less to see if I could. Plus, it keeps me awake in class.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know of a good resource for learning to use a pen? I'm good with pencil and colored pencil...but I outline my comic in pen, and sometimes it looks a bit akward. Oh, on an earlier train of thought that people were on, the whole 'sex sells' thing. This is very true. But I...

I guess color and aesthetics catches my attention the most, although a catchy phrase, joke, or lead will also do the trick. I click on it if it looks like something I'd be interested in, so I think a good banner tries to represent the whole of what it links to. Sort of a synecdoche...right. I think ...

Yeah, currently I only get about 10,000 hits and 180 visits a month. Those are some good tips to try, though.

Hi! For the past week I've had a lot of trouble getting to my ftp site. This could just be a local problem, though. The real worry is that my comic hasn't been updating for the past couple of days as well, even though there are comics in the comics folder. Please help? Thank so much!<P>Mixed Myth <A...
