Today there was a Simpsons episode on TV which was basically The Shining, except in this episode it was called The Shinning, 'for trademark reasons'.

I foretell that the new boy will have the shinning when he grows up.

What an interesting way to renew the cast and still have them age. A bit of the 'wizard's apprentice' idea (magic back-firing) in there.
