I think it's Drip. A live, younger version of Drip. I suspect we're seeing a flashback. Both recent shorts featured him, I suspect that was a way reintroducing the character again after the long Silverblue Arc.

I think that after this story, it will be time for the big Jack vs Drip showdown.

 Ah, the cat anti-gravity device. First postulated on the letters page of the New Scientist. I once read a comic book about about a boy scientist who used that... can't remember the name. But of course, it isn't a perpetual motion device. Cats are very clean creatures and it doesn't take very...

I'm sorry to hear that it was our impatiencs for an ending that resulted in the story being curtailed. I admire the story you've crafted but understand David's dissatisfaction with the ending. Silver is chirpy for someone who's still damned and the liberation of the Musical Holes girls and good boys...

Yay! Tomorrow is another day and even in Hell the lovers are allowed to be together- I hope - hope - that Sliver manages to move into a better neighbourhood after David's break.

Thanks for the great arc, Dave.

I hate injustice and cruelty. I fear violence, particularly the cold blooded kind. I hate and fear the kind of thinking that says any of the above are acceptable, or even desirable. Especially if it's the kind that justifies one of the above in the pursuit of removing one other things above from the...

Jack the Ripper did just disappear... possible suspects include a mental patient who was at large at the time and who was recaptured around the time the crimes came to an end; An American Doctor by the name of Tumblety who had studied in the same univeristy and year group as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (...

The wisest thing I ever heard said about the line between good and evil was that which way you're facing is more important than which side of the line your on. Sort of like the line between two armies on a battlefield. It might get messy at times, but some people are charging the enemy and some peop...

Has anyone heard of a sim game called "Afterlife" in which you get to build heaven and hell? There are seven virtues and sins in that, which happen to have been the same as the ones you've settled on. I wonder if David will be introducing the Four Surfers of the Apocolypse at any point? I think, rather than believe, there is a God. Have faith that God is good and loves/cares about us is the hard part.

If God is perfect but we aren't, then logically our perception is of God is imperfect. Therefore any conclusion or opinion we can draw about him is wrong.

In other words, the first fate we predict for Jack is to remain Wrath to protect the universe from the one who would follow him. (For my money, we need look no further than Angry Brian) The second is that he becomes the first member of an "underground railroad" out of hell. Probably more dramatic, b...

I can see Jack declining salvation in order to prevent someone who would use the position of Reaper to be malicious and cruel.

It would allow the comic to continue once the main story arc was concluded, however.

How about it, Mister Hopkins, does the whole series have an ending scripted?

Do you think that she can be judged for the things she does now that she remembers why she's in hell? Will she be so callous towards those around her? Would you? I would have thought that someone in pain would be more likely to lash out than someone just going through their day to day existance but ...

You can find the complete text for Dante's Inferno on the web, since it is long out of copyright. Try searching for the Guttenburg Project (not sure of the correct spelling), which has many such texts.
