Re: Paper edition of TCoW?

Have you guys thought about doing a paper release? I'd pop $10 for a volume of it, for sure.:) ~V'lion There are currently no plans for a print version of TCoW. Apart from the fact that some of the strips are not the quality that we'd feel comfortable setting to paper and so would have to be redraw...

hmm...figures i'd get in right around the end of an era. well, i'm looking forward to the new strip then, when you start it up...are you planning to use the same site, or...? if it's not prying too much, what made you decide to finish up TCoW and move on? -c I haven't decided yet where it will be h...

this is probably a stupid question, but... surely "thrilling conclusion" does not, in fact, refer to an actual conclusion? While 'conclusion' does have implications of being a satisfactory conclusion, Tuesday's strip will be TCoW's final strip. There will be a brief epilogue afterward, and there wi...

His stories <i>claim</i> to be autobiographies. Not only do they tend to give contradictory accounts of his supposed life, the narrator usually gets killed. Brutally. Usually because he was writing instead of doing the sensible thing of running. To quote a section from chapter 23 of "The Terror from...

And I have this subconscious thing going on where if I enjoy what's going on in the comic (especially if it's something new) I give the art a lot more time and /or effort. Next on TCoW: Francis shacks up with Eve, but how does Joe feel? Meanwhile, Freddie, Walter and Nyarlathotep team up to fight c...

Each answer is tied to a single character. Answering with that character's response adds one point to his or her score. At the end, the character with a) the highest score, and b) is last on the list (because of how the winner is calculated) is the person you end up with. The results are a little sl...

Let's call the Winnak "Random". And it shall draw things and make typos.

This is posted on behalf of Doruk, who seemed to like the idea.

I don't get the seven deal :-? Back in the day, in the #uc IRC channel, somebody foolishly added -14 to seven, one of the channel's denizens, thus inverting his personality and transforming him into a happy smiley floating hearts kawaii chibii minion of the Pastel Ones . It was really back in the d...

Actually, I was thinking of Classic Comics at the time I wrote the script. And yes, Greg is male (although that's probably obvious now). I never considered keeping him as Misty, although I didn't 'plan' on him turning into Misty in the first place. Reverting him makes it easier for me to handle him ...

Given how busy this forum is, I doubt anybody really cares about thread necromancy. Besides, that's what the thread is for.

Also, I fixed the bug that would leave the </td> in the BBCode version.

The TCoW Character Quiz - With 57% Recycled Material!

Inspired in part by the What H.P. Lovecraft Entity/Character Archetype Are You? quiz, I whipped together the Which TCoW Character Are You quiz.

It's somewhat on the short side (8 questions) given the number of results (7 characters), but at least it's not possible to get a 7-way tie.

Enjoy!

My sister draws the comic, not me. You saw my handiwork Christmas '01. Not that pretty.

Also, the comic has never shown Azathoth, Hastur, Deep Ones, or (at that point of time), Cthulhu.

I've (just) started working on the TCoW quiz.

Becareful reanimating the forum... you might get carried away, start killing fora just to bring them back to life, and finally get killed by a silent horde of reanimated fora. Or maybe not. I'm glad that you're enjoying the current storyline. I've been trying to move the comic towards it for about t...

I got Nyarlathotep too. I tried writing a Cthulhu one a while ago, but got stuck when it came to finding images. All the questions were binary too, which didn't help much.

Maybe I should create one for TCoW characters?

Comics during Downage

Between Keenspace's downage and Woap's fleeing the country, many people haven't seen the recent comics unless they've visited the IRC channel on the appropriate day. And so for your benefit, here are the comics for the last few days as well as today: Thursday: http://userpages.umbc.edu/~pshiff1/UCR....
