If you haven't seen it before or haven't been following, check out my web comic here: http://www.exiles.ca Book One consists of the the first 66 pages. Book Tw...

Re: Anything good on tv?

I'm really hoping the Walking Dead comes through as a good show. It has to be different from the comic, way too dark for TV, but hopefully it's a good show on it's own...

Because TV really NEEDS some good shows.

Re: Exiles turns 20...

Thank you very much. Always nice to receive feedback. I haven't specified the overall time frame. Although a couple of eagle eyed readers have noticed the passage of time by the different phases of the moon. But to specifically answer your question, from page 6-20 is one night/day, page 17 is the tr...

Re: Exiles turns 20...

Thank you very much. I've been focusing on a lot of the negatives lately so that I can improve the overall comic. It's nice to get some positive feedback as well. Thanks again. And for everyone that hasn't checked it out http://www.exiles.ca in a while, the art has changed a bit and we're getting in...

Re: What's with the Vampire faggotry nowadays?

I had also started my story before I ever heard of Twilight, never read it, haven't seen the movies, and have no plans to. I never liked the idea of "Nice" Vampires, thus why they are pretty much the scum of the earth in my story... but that's just me. Of course I'm sure anyone on this board would s...

Exiles turns 20...

Hey Everyone,

I've pretty much just been lurking lately, but now that I officially have 20 pages, I thought I might as well toss this out there to the wolves. :)

What is your production time?

I'm curious what people's production time is? I'll define this as: Actual time drawing, letting, and posting their comic. I'd like to leave the actual conceptualizing/writing time out of the equation for now. I'd also like to know how often you post your comic (daily, weekly, monthly...)? Should be ...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

OK, I need to concede something here... I've been reading alot more what people are posting around about their own comics. I'm seeing a lot of: "I started a web comic and lost interest..." "I could only get three pages done..." "I got bored with it..." "I just to it to have something to do..." The l...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

Fair enough points and I don't have anything to counter any of them, That and I'm sure I've done enough "barging". :) Also there is nothing wrong with being an elitist forum. For the most part those turn out to be some of the best, as long as it's balanced by mature people. And as I get to know ever...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

RobboAKAscooby all good points. Although I didn't really see the Tips and tricks section as somewhere to post for feedback. I still think a newbie section for feedback would be valuable. Having done a little bit of teaching (not comic related), confidence and dedication take time for most people. An...

Pushing yourself to be better?

The discussion on pimping your comic has been interesting and has got me thinking, thus this thread. Personally I'm never satisfied with my own work. Looking back I always see areas to improve upon. The other discussion we're talking about having minimum limits before showing work and some people se...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

Passing judgement on forum and talking about "how it works" after spending less then a month on it seems to me like impolite thing to do, not really like an attempt to get along with anyone. I don't disagree with anything you've said. And you are also correct in your assessment, generally I don't g...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

I've found in my experience a lot of people who complain about not being able to advertise their comic right now usually end up quitting said comics pretty early. Usually because they don't have dedication, kinda ironic. Maybe part of that is not getting feedback or much interest. It's a possibilit...

Re: How long did you wait to "pimp" your comic?

Although I will say that if you're doing one of those comics that throws one or three panels and three paragraphs of text at me and calls it a page, well... stop doing that. It makes me stop reading. So you get to define what a page is? Far enough if you like or dislike certain formats but who are ...
