I have done the same. Please advise on how we can get our accounts removed.

Re: Critique please?

Right, time to poke this thread, I think. I'm now one comic into the first official chapter and two comics into a new setting and a new layout system. The comic panels now default to a 3x3 grid to keep it simple, and will mostly have minor variations on that. Also everyone has new palettes, and I l...

So how exactly is this contest anything but a shameless way for you to collect soft-core alien porn?

Re: Some changes to my site.

Maybe just remove those comics? Either way, via archive or otherwise, someone looking to start the comic will see the older ones if they are public. I don't really see how modifying the buttons will help that.

Re: Elf and Dwarf

Interesting comic. I'm finding it a pleasant cross between the theme of RPG World and the comic delivery of Dark Legacy . Some of the jokes fizzle in delivery, but a good amount don't. So far I've only gone through a couple dozen (from the beginning and going back from the end) but it seems you have...

That's great and all, but I still cant tell who or what I'm supposed to be looking at half the time. Everything kinds washes together and It takes a lot of eyestrain to focus on anything in particular. Story seems neat, though.

Re: Fonts

Are the fonts you presented the same? Almost certainly yes, just slightly italicized. If you look at the upper-case 'I', it's clear that one font is serif and the other san-serif... Again, I don't get the need to specify font knowledge. I can draw apple with a stem or without, but at the end of the...

Re: A Critters critique, please!

I'd look into the Trademark thing again. U.S. common law practices are pretty tricky when it comes to unregistered trademarks, and if someone else has already claimed the materials (see Critters, the 1980s horror movie) you can get in serious trouble should the property holder find out you are using...

Re: What's your excuse

a) For not getting your work done at a timely time b) For not fixing things that you (and perhaps others) perceive to be wrong with your art c) For not posting here more often a) Don't set a time (aka: It's done when it's done). b) Depends on the critique. If it's a technical thing from someone who ...

Re: Fonts

Honestly, the font hate/love is a silly argument in my eyes. If people are distracted or focusing on your font rather than the words they are saying, either 1)Your comic is not entertaining them properly or 2)They are some kind of font activist or 3)The font is distracting and abrasive and difficult...

Re: what songs inspire you when writing?

It usually depends on what mood I'm writing/drawing. Most of my stuff is narrative work, so I try to stick with un-distracting music. Generally, I open iTunes and stream music from various ambient channels for sad, somber, or emotional scenes, alternative and techno for movement and aggressive scene...

Re: A Critters critique, please!

Considering that you claim to do this for fun and practice, I find it interesting that you took the time and money to obtain a trademark with Ohio and such for your comic. Doubly so considering how little content you actually have compared to a lot of the folk I see on this website (who are, like yo...

Re: In-depth manga critique, please

Your necks are positioned correctly, but your heads are too far forward. You mean in a 3/4, or profile, or both, or neither, or what? Not trying to be picky, but I want to understand correctly. For example, your profile picture. If we were to take out the hair, either your character's head is built...

Re: Comiczone

No new replies? Come on, people, I might sound a little narcissistic here, but it's a great comic! It might be, if I understood any of the inside/topical jokes. Most of these are pretty opaque to me. The video game jokes have been done, for the most part. Not to thrash ya, buddy. Some of them are g...

Re: Genuine Draft- Battlemark Act:2 Has begun.

Like all of the other lego comics I see, you face the problem of the reader having no clue what they are looking at for a significant amount of the reading time. The colors wash out with the backgrounds (there are only so many lego colors), and the consistent textures from the blocks (circles upon c...

Re: In-depth manga critique, please

Your stuff isn't bad, honestly. Needs polishing on anatomy, but the actual formatting is pretty even with decent pacing. Go pick up a few human figure books and practice in non-manga form. Then go back and remake the same image in manga form. You'll notice huge issues with proportion, but you can ge...

I don't want to ignore your post, because I did go through and read your stuff. At the same time, after reading three pages of discussion over what font to use as a comic, I really wanted to stop altogether. Your later works are better, but the initial turn-off from the beginning overshadows the ove...

Re: Harry Potter Comics! (**warning: includes spoilers**)

I enjoy the dialogue, it fits well with the existing cannon. Pacing and posing of the lego figures is pretty spot on in most scenes, though I would work on your buildings and backgrounds. While they are amazing lego models of houses and trains and etc, working with the naturally bright colors of the...
