Re: Things that frustrate you about your own work
You know what else frustrates me? The burnout factor. I was going along just fine for two years, never missed a deadline due to art (although twice there were delays due to technical problems), and then at Christmas I was all "You know, I need a little break. I'll just pick up again after New Year's...

That's quite good. You should make some more. This thread has been sadly empty as of late.

I've been slacking. Should we fill it with some Keenlace pieces? Or are we content keeping them on the Keenlace site?

Re: How well do you know your characters?
Wait... Are we supposed to answer these as the author, or as the character? Because my characters are apparently a lot like McDuffies. *shudders*

That looks like a very bad haiku. Mostly because it's not one. It just kinda looks like it.

Re: Things that frustrate you about your own work
Every time I draw someone they always look different. The only way anyone can tell which character I meant to draw was to make the whole cast color coded! I've been practicing and it is a little better then when I started, but the inconsistent artwork frustrates me something fierce. This. The incon...

It took forever to ink, but that's mostly because I hate inking.

Re: Reader comments.
Kinda throwing back to what Aerones mentioned, how does everyone feel the reader/friend's comment of "Oh you should put me in your comic!" Perhaps I am too touchy, but I've grown to really hate it. I'm an artist before a writer, so working on plot/script/etc. is always difficult for me, so when I s...

That's why I started, anyway.

And in general I agree with you.
But it'd still be nice to get some kind of feedback.

Re: The Fuzzle McDuffies Thread
everything's better with Mount Gay rum I know you posted this a year ago (and then some!) but I just have to know...is mount gay rum a real thing? If so, I need to stock up. http://intoxicologist.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/mount-gay-rum-extra-old-bottle.jpg I know I'm quoting an old post, but... I...

Re: Reader comments.
it would still be nice to know which characters resonate with the readership and why. Start killing people off, if the readers care about the character they'll let you know then. I knew before I started posting the comic that not everyone would make it through alive. I'm just not at that point in t...

Re: Reader comments.
I don't want any fan ideas for storylines or anything like that, but it would still be nice to know which characters resonate with the readership and why. The stories I have planned won't change, but if a certain character is more popular than others I may change the perspective of the story a bit. ...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
Thanks. They're both really just sketches, I didn't intend for the one to be a Cover Image or anything like that. It was more just about me trying to get them all together on a page. But you're right on all the flaws. Now that you've pointed them out I can clearly see where they're messed up. Thanks...

Re: Reader comments.
I've only ever gotten one comment. Sort of. It was actually more of a suggestion that I give one of my characters more powers. But there's a legitimate story-driven reason that I won't, so... *shrug* I think I may set up a poll in my Cartoonists' Notes part of the page after the new year, though. Ju...

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.
I love running my hands over a stubbly scalp. Unless it's mine. I hate getting a haircut that's too short. On a totally unrelated topic; I hereby give not only permission, but also encouragement, to tell me whatever I've screwed up in a picture. Because if no one tells me what I've done wrong I'm qu...
