Multiple Pogs?

I did a forum search and didn't see anything on the topic although the Pog tutorial implies that the answer is no, BUT: Is it possible to have multiple pogs for the same comic? I'm not trying to get more links on the front (not that I wouldn't mind, but that's not The Plan) but I've got several char...

Re: How to save

Another thing to consider with .gif is that it allows for transparency, which in some cases is desirable (although I usually stick with .jpg)

Re: Digital vs. pen and paper -- a.k.a tools of the trade

Ink it before you scan. We've been having a lot better luck doing it that way than the other way around. Do what you find easiest/most effective, but in the limited bit I've done (kat's the artist, not me.. I draw for fun, she draws stuff we actually count as production) I've been MUCH more successf...

Re: Creative Breakthroughs

Thanks for the info, are there any that you know of that sell mechanical leads though? I can find the 2mm ones in colors pretty easy (like for lead holders rather than mechanical pencils) but there's not really any specialty art stores within 20 miles of my place (both sad and pathetic) aside from t...

Re: Creative Breakthroughs

I too get a crazy number of my breakthroughs in the shower. There's a ton of psyche reasons why, probably the biggest of which is that showers are so mindless that your brain does other stuff while your body does the whole cleaning/washing thing so it gives your creativity an uninterrupted bit of ti...

Re: Writing a new story

Note: PLEASE don't take this as me being mean (there are times I want to be mean and this isn't it): You: I hope it turns out to be handy in the end, because so far all it's taught me is "please don't write". This may POSSIBLY be the end answer. Like all talents, not everyone has a "writer" in them....

Re: How to get better at writing comics?

Note: I am only speaking in the context of writing something with an ensemble (more than 2 "main" characters) with a continuous or semi-continuous storyline of the "moderately serious" genre - "funny" comics or ones that are more contained (like traditional daily strips in the paper) will benefit li...

Re: Digital vs. pen and paper -- a.k.a tools of the trade

We (I partner with someone who's a considerably better artist than I am - I'm the writer, she's the artist) work in hybrid. She draws on slightly heavyweight paper on 8.5x11 in light pencil, inks with a pen and then we scan with the xerox at work (it emails jpgs) in 300dpi - it effectively zooms to ...
