Re: What's a good program to make character sheets with?
How do you export editable .pdfs in Scribus? I don't know that you can... So far as I know, you need to use Acrobat to turn on digital rights, or get a service to do it for you, or use some really hinky cobbled up stuff that... er, you can only get to with an Onion Router. *cough* However! I may ju...

Re: What's a good program to make character sheets with?
Self-made RPG. :) So far, it looks finishable and workable. :) Awesomesauce! Hm. Okay, I hear many good things about Scribus for writing . Regarding Open Office... Dunno. I do know that indexing is often enough of a pain in the ass that a lot of game companies farm out that work (not kidding), whic...

Re: Dark Heresy
Actually, Alina and I were talking at one point about setting up a game-designer/gaming webcomics podcast... invite people we know locally like you, Dave Gaider, and Trent Y, as well as gamer comic people like Tarol Hunt, Rich Burlew, Eric Burns, etc etc. It was an interesting idea, anyways. That'd...

Re: Dark Heresy
Well, I heard that just the other day. Yours is probably the same news, just the details more accurate. I rarely concern myself with news surrounding games and such. Soh yours is probably a more detailed version of what I was saying, and knew about it before I did. Ah. Yeah, I have this weird compu...

Re: Dark Heresy
Yeah, got ahold of the new book as well, the inquisitorial. Oh, and found out why out of print, apparently, GW yanked the dark industries licensing to to some money skimming or something. The books supposedly will go back into print by a different company it seems. Or at least that is what I was to...

Re: JAGS (Just Another Gaming System; not)
Well, by minimal, I mean "total stuff per character". Maybe I'm projecting a bit.
As to play, I have two games right now to play, a LARp, and I'm thinking about running a tabletop, in addition to Amagi-Games. That pretty much kills me for time.

Re: JAGS (Just Another Gaming System; not)
Well, this system is my personal favorite, and my hope that it will one day be a lot more known is undying. Here's a link to the site: http://www.jagsrpg.org I (still) haven't played with it, yet, but I read it the first time a year or so back - and it's kind of neat. Best two things for it (my opi...

Re: Dark Heresy
There is the one important question.... Can you Play a Space Marine? Only if you use the unofficial (but still spanky) rules created by the guys at Dark Reign . Loads of stuff for the game over there. Otherwise, as noted, you can still gear up and get weird in the same direction, but the basic rule...

Re: D&D 4th Ed Discussion
On the subject of half-orcs, I've got an idea for one once they re-release them for 4e - Hulking, missing half his teeth, face scarred and smashed, body bearing visible signs of massive wounds, including broken bones, armor that's been repaired more than he has... ...Paladin. I've seen this idea bu...
