Re: Plus size fashion
Well, I can't tell you anything fashion conscious, but I can tell you how I'd dress if I wanted to look more attractive than a teeshirt and jeans. Depending on what kind of plus size she is (seriously, 12 is NOT a plus size), and by which I mean where her weight is carried, really changes what you w...

Re: Help with an update day.
Monday's when most people get the most traffic. I update Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday and find that I get a lot of people who check for my Sunday update on Monday... so... I suggest Monday, or Thursday.

Yeah, it's a great comic and earned it's few wins, I think.

Sorry for the bump but I just had to drop a comment in and say just how much I like what you're doing with this comic. The art style is just perfect for a vampire comic and the story interesting and certainly opens up questions. I love the site design too, because you don't have to scroll to advance...

I like your art style; very cute and your website looks awesome too. Definately looks like the sort of comic I'd see in a newspaper.

I dunno, does it? (left out)
Glad you liked it, Tdev! It was hard trying to convert your really cartoony character style to my more realistic style and still keep the real feel of them. I compromised a bit and made it a lot more cartoony than I normally would've. ^^ Have a merry Christmas!

Re: Comic Genesis Secret Santa 2009 Sign Ups
Did you ever get mine to load, Serge? A friend of mine has trouble loading it, too. I wonder if it's the 1024 X 1325 pixel size of the comic pages. I feel it's the best size for the comic to be presented, particularly because of the Papyrus font I use for the Vampire's word balloons. The rest of th...

Re: Comic Genesis Secret Santa 2009 Sign Ups
(peers in) Can I still join even though my ComicGenesis page is now just a mirror? I'm still updating it! >_> (I'd preferably be displaying finished art on my main site because it gets more traffic because I actually remember to update three times a week there...) I'm a Secret Santa whore. >_> I've ...

Re: If your comic wasn't in comic form
An RPG! Story? What story? I just created a world. I guess, though, if I had to pick it'd be a video game. If it could be a novel, it WOULD be a novel. I'm not shy about writing them, I've done a few and what I'm telling here basically requires visuals. No, it would be a video game. I imagine ...

Re: Voting Sites
Well, one of the major vote for my comic sites went down. Now there's Top Webcomics and Webcomic Planet, ChoiceComics and TheWebcomicList. I've never gotten much traffic from them... currently StumbleUpon's one of the big things, and Twitter. Mmyep. Everyone with a webcomic is getting on Twitter now...

Re: Pushing yourself to be better?
This does happen to me, actually. Sometimes I'll look at some nonsense I just drew and think, "Didn't I used to be good at this?" Or I'll find an old drawing and think, "Huh, I knew how to do that back then, huh?" In reality I know I'm about four times the artist I was this time last year. But what...

Re: Something interestingly new in ways of presenting webcomics
Hero's a beautiful comic, but my goodness but I hated reading it. I don't mind easter egg hover text, like on a few comics... sort of like a footnote lolz... but Hero, I couldn't read because of the presentation method. It took away the flow of reading I would normally fall into while doing a readth...

I agree totally.Warofwinds wrote:I started out on ComicGenesis, and moved to SpiderForest about 2 years back. Still have my CG mirror.
Even being on SF, CG is the FIRST place I recommend to people thinking about a webcomic. This place was the best home for a newbie comicker ever. /random Kez comment.

Re: SpiderForest Webcomic Collective now open for submissions!
Do I sound old if I said I joined Comic Genesis (then called Keenspace) because it was the only free webcomic hosting service available that I knew of that time? *shifty look* Noooo, calling it Keenspace makes you sound old. Honestly, I knew of CG, DrunkDuck and SmackJeeves. SmackJeeves comic...

Re: SpiderForest Webcomic Collective now open for submissions!
If McDuffies REALLY wants my large granny panties, well... I'm not gonna stop them, they're five bucks for a pack of three. I can always get more. Some of the reasons I've not gone for hosting on a specialized comic hosting site is that: 1. I already have a website with a small, if dedicated a...

Spiderforest wrapped my puppy in silk at ate him! :( Yeah, ok. I'm overruled. Who's up for hot dogs?! I did edit my first post to remove the second link to the apply page so it was a bit less spammy, though. :) @McDuffies I'd be more worried about the men staring at them... myself, I don't actually...

Re: Critique please?
I've gotta agree... the scribbled color (which I LOVE, actually) would work a lot better with more solid, bold lineart, at least on the figures. Make the lineart less sketchy and keep the coloring style, and you'll have an interesting, unique looking comic. It's a bit too scribbly right now but I th...
