Re: Am I the only one who wanted to shoot themselves?
I was lucky because I've always been one of these people who technology and teaching themselves comes easy, but I will put up my hand to say it did take me a day or so to get over my fear of the bloody FTP server lol...I'm on dialup and trying to load things is hard at the best of times so messing a...

Re: Why are we doing this?
Originally I did it because...well...what else would I do in my University lectures?... Now I do it because I not only enjoy it, but because I need SOME outlet for creative pursuits or I will go stark, raving, potato-in-a-sock, BONKERS! I'm mostly a writer, but my writing muse has been somewhat subd...

Re: Lower/Upper case fonts vs. All CAPS
I use a font that is default all Caps and doesn't have a Caps setting. Its called Webletter I think. I just find it easier to use for comic bubbles because it is more uniform and easier on the eye, but maybe thats just me. The comics I did way back when were done with the Lower/Upper method and it j...

Re: How far in advance do you usually upload?
When I started up I had 10 strips set and made and a bunch more scripted...Then due to my own lazyness, 10 updates later they ran out . I now make my strips as needed. This has meant that one or two updates have been missed due to circumstances beyond my control, or due to simple lazyness, but...

Re: Just a Question
Yeah I tried that aswell, the deleting from the FTP server, re-uploading and triggering a regular update, before I posted in here thinking that might have been the issue. Glad to see that the ideas I had to 'fix' it weren't just my mind throwing me curveballs at 4am lol. Thanks for the tips dude.

Re: Just a Question
That might explain it, but its still weird that some images work fine and others don't. If none did I'd understand it, its just confusing. Meh I'll just use Photobucket. Thanks mate.

Re: heat shimmer
I read this and thought "Hey yeah, how *would* you do that?" And after about ten minutes (I have a short attention span) worth of fiddling in Photoshop I hit Google and I found this. http://www.foundmyself.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4396 It might not work realistically for the way he wants to use it,...

Re: Crit my layout?
I think its quite a nice layout, quite neat and ordered, but I do agree that generally the first thing people want to see when they go to your comic's site is in fact your comic. If you're not able to put the latest comic on the front page due to the template you're using, maybe you could make the l...

Re: Digital vs. pen and paper -- a.k.a tools of the trade
I use a mixture of both mediums for my comic. I find that I have trouble sketching straight through my tablet initially, I think it has a lot to do with the touch feedback that Rhenny mentioned, because I find that the surface of my tablet is too smooth and just doesn't give me the control I like. I...

Just a Question
Hey there help gurus. I just have a question thats bugging me. I've been hosting graphics on my comics server, and for some reason only some of them will show up when used as, for example, a signature. I've been through as many possible reasons for this anomaly as possible. It doesn't seem to have a...

Re: new comic email question
Up on the top left of you're screen you should see a link to your User Control Panel (UCP), if you click that link, then go to the 'Profile' tab and on the list that appears on the left click on the 'Edit Account Settings' link. That should take you to a page where its possible to change your email....

Re: Introduction Thread - Welcome to the New and Old
Hey all. I've been moseying around the last week or so and only just found this thread, so I figured I should do the neighbourly thing and introduce myself. The name is Paradox, not officially obviously, its a pseudonym...Not my first choice, but Batman was taken. I'm the author and 'artist' (I use ...

Re: Australia?
Thanks for the welcome. So how far are you from Melbourne? I'm not the best with Victorian geography lol. I'm over in Melbourne fairly often these days as my GF lives over there, and I'll most likely be making the move over there later this year.

Australia?
Just wondering how many Aussies there were flitting around the place? In South Aus especially I suppose, but in general aswell. I'd be quite interested in knowing if there is anything going on anywhere in Aus. I've checked around a bit, but I haven't been able to find anything. So where are my fello...

Hey Wraithldr, I use the WebFTP lovingly provided by the fine people at ComicGenesis but after a quick Google-ing I came up with This . Its the documentation from the guys that produce and supply FileZilla, hopefully it'll help you out. It seems that it has the relevant catergories. I downloaded the...

Re: Can't Log Into CGWiki? Post here.
And a second post...
Thus here I do sit
On an Australian eve
And I care not a whit
That I may be percieved
As maybe a bit
Of a poetic dweeb
I don't give a $h!t
Due to lack of sleep
Thought I'd actually put something else in it...It seemed pointless otherwise.

Re: SiteAdmin login troubles - take 2 [solved] - NOT
Hey, I'm just putting up my hand on the "can't get into SiteAdmin" issue. I've been on Keenspace/the forums since about August last year, but because I haven't used the forum I've had to make multiple accounts (using the same U/N and P/W each time) as I've been booted a few times. This time however ...
