Re: Do you advertise Comic Genesis...
I moved off of the CG servers for my comics so that I could use my own domains and have control over ad-content... but I started here in 2004 when it was still keenspace, did four abandoned/failed comics with that username, and started both of the ones I'm currently doing on my own servers here. I'm...

Sorry about never seeing this Littledeadgirl. I PM'd ya just now and can discuss it with you further if you're still intersted in joining. As for anyone else, the best way to get ahold of me is via email: boozeathon4billion@gmail.com

Re: Print vs Webcomics
I enjoy reading both, but have a fond place in my heart for web stuff. It can be more spontanious, more daring in its design and layout, the feedback can be immediate, and it's obviously easier to get started online than in print. I wouldn't still be drawing today if it weren't for the web. But I'd ...

Re: Big problem and a couple of small questions
First, try not to manually update stuff unless its necessary. It slows down the servers and can cause a mess on your site if you overdo it. There is a schedule you can set for when your comic updates, and when it does that, it will check your files daily to update whatever you've changed or have the...

Re: Editing /d/ pages
I'd check the CGwiki first, but the best/official way to update those D pages is by messing with the dailytemplate . That will update all of the D pages as you tell it to... if you want some different than others, I'd check the wiki though. They say not to mess with those pages for a reason, but may...

Re: Need Help Settign up a Comic and Navigating
The best place to go is the comicgenesis Wiki which has tutorials and walkthroughs set up and waiting. The addy is http://cgwiki.comicgenesis.com . There are FAQs, templates, tutorials, walkthru's, etc... there, so just start reading. It'll be the best and quickest way to learn about the CG system a...

Re: How do I change my comic's URL?
The easiest way would be to contact an admin, tell them what happened, and see about signing up for a new username/url/account if they can't change the URL itself. Then just make sure you have a copy of everything from your site on your HDD, and upload it to the new site/account once its approved.

Re: Off-The-Wall (dropdown for the weird and surreal)
I figured that I should update this since we've grown and moved to a better site... We now have 10 comics on the dropdown, have our own forum which is small but growing, are found at http://offthewall-comics.com and are always open to new members, new readers, and any sort of help you want to offer....

Re: Country logos
The state of Kansas uses sunflowers (the state flower) for a lot of things (state highways especially). Missouri seems to use the shape of the state... which is lamer than a flower... maybe.

Re: mcDuff's reviewalicious thread
Thanks for the review. It's always good to get an outside opinion. Since most feedback I get is from people around me and involved in how the strip probably was thought up, it's always hard getting an objective opinion out of anyone other than my cynical brother who doesn't really read webcomics bec...

Re: My comic won't update
Yeah I've been trying to update my navigation bar and "todays_note" for the past day and it just hasn't been taking effect. The files I have edited/changed are successfully on the server (i uploaded them and was able to pull them off the server from another computers ftp program), but it just won't ...

He said he was taking a break a while back. I assume he'll get back to it. Then again, maybe not. We might have dodged the bullet, eh?
Re: Spore...
I would say its a deal breaker for me... but I've been wanting to play this for so long that I'll just force my paranoia and hatred of all things uber-corporate behind me for the time being. After all, I doubt the servers will shut down for a long time, and except for when I'm not hooked up to the i...

Yeah, you can use the actual code to put in special characters. Most of the time I just leave out punctuation in the dropdown unless its necessary. Just makes it easier on me and those scrolling through the archive.

Re: New Website Design!
Thanks for all the feedback! I was meaning to drop the site down a bit and throw the hover on there soon... right now I haven't because the image which acts as the home link also has the color hover and it looks tacky. Once I work around it without messing up the CSS I'll do it asap. Thanks again an...

Re: Off-The-Wall (dropdown for the weird and surreal)
We have two new comics on the dropdown! Get Milked was added in the first week of August, and that is a great addition. He does single frame stuff which is just brilliant and looks fantastic and the archive goes back to 2001!!!!!!! It is seriously an honor to have him on the dropdown. He updates mon...

Go to the wacom site, find the most recent drivers for the tablet you have, download them, and everything should work fine. Without the drivers, it will read the tablet as a mouse/keyboard input device rather than a tablet... hence no pressure sensitivity settings.

I've really enjoyed reading through a bunch of your archive. Your style is awesome (even though the text is a bit hard to read at times) and the site design works well with the comic. Good stuff... keep working on the updating schedule though. It's been a while, eh?

Re: Maggie & Shade
I really like the art in this... a lot. The story is a little hard to pick up on with each update only being one frame, but its easy enough to follow and fill in what isn't given explicitly. I look forward to seeing more.
