Re: Help: What's this toy called?
A google search tells me it can be called a bilbo catcher but I've never heard that term before. That name does give disorienting connotations, at least if you've read Tolkien. The first thing I thought of was the Japanese Kendama toy. Your version lacks the side cups, but there are plenty o...

Help: What's this toy called?
I'm about to draw a comic in which a silly old toy is used and mentioned by name. Problem is, I have no idea what it's called in English - the comic is in English, but that isn't my first language. I don't even know if this toy was ever used in English-speaking places. The literal translation of the...

Ah OK, thanks. I'm using Mac OSX, but the method's the same. So I opened the html file in TextEdit (equivalent of NotePad), and it lets me edit and save in html format too. But a lot of the code seems to be missing once the file gets opened in TextEdit. Same result in Word. I don't get it. Where's t...

Thanks for the replies. :) Well, I know a little basic HTML. I've fiddled with Dreamweaver, which has a Code View option, so you can choose between WYSIWYG and seeing the code in full frontal nudity. And I've looked at the source code of some websites to get an idea of what makes them tick. Some HTM...

I'm contemplating getting a CG account for my silly little comic, so I've read a lot of the CG tutorials and lurked here in the Help Center to get info on how to. Lots of good info and tips! :) But this bit confuses me: [*]Work on the template files on your computer. Any html editor is fine, NotePad...
