Re: Another step closer to making Cyborgs a reality.
Soooo would the steampunk version be powered by little turbines in your major blood vessels tended by tiny little homunculi in stove pipe hats? This is actualy of a great deal of interest to me as I have a vested interest in this kind of endeavour, advances in cyber tech and stem cell research being...

SCA sound like the historical re-enactment types,The Sealed Knot (English civil war) or Kentwell Hall (Tudor) lot et al. Ultra anal and more than a little "touched". And this from a larp'er.
Then again come the zombie apocalypse I'll be hanging with them as they have all the swords.

'The Change' is, as far as I'm concerned, the very antitheses of the Nerdgasm. Nerdgasms are those moments when good things happen, like finding an original Love and Rockets or first edition of Alan Moores Watchmen in a jumble sale or charity store/thrift shop going for a song, and after parting wit...

Re: Odd thoughts about fiction
This happens in all forms of fiction be it Sci-Fi, Fantasy, RPG's, TV or Movies where being green skinned or indeed foreign is reason enough for a bunch of heroes to kill you, your children, your pets, burn your hovel to the ground, score a hot bed warmer and get paid for it. It is no different to t...
