Comic not showing up in Firefox or IE
It's sort of a strange problem, was hoping perhaps anyone's encountered anything similar. On Aug. 10 I uploaded my new comic page the same way I always do: Opened the FTP Server Cyberduck (2.6.2), dragged the comic file into the Workspace>Comics folder, and went to the CG Siteadmin to do a regular u...

Re: It's December Search Strings time!
I've never gotten so many searches for a comic that updated to infrequently this month. Seriously, I made about 2 pages. Yeah, it was bad. But if you want to see: 1 11 25.58% ff6 comic 2 6 13.95% final fantasy 6 comic 3 4 9.30% final fantasy comics 4 2 4.65% FF6 Comic 5 2 4.65% Final Fantasy comiccf...

Re: The Best You've Ever Done!
This is a neat thread. I'm enjoying looking at everyone's best work. For me, my best work is probably page 71 here. It was like three weeks late because of the first panel. Now, when I look at it, I see it's got too many colors. The best part of it, though, is the Edgar in the last panel. I used a r...

Re: "The Big Day" crit welcome
Your comics aren't bad; the first one actually made me laugh. Though I think you may need to clean up the lineart a bit; some of it was kind of messy.
However, don't you think it would be best to wait until you have a good archive of comics (say, like 20 pages) before you begin to promote it?

Re: String them up! October Search Strings!
I am perpetually amused by the search strings. 1 3 25.00% final fantasy comic 2 2 16.67% Final Fantasy 6 Edgar images 3 2 16.67% Final Fantasy comic 4 1 8.33% comic final fansty (sorry, no fansty pants comics here!) 5 1 8.33% final fantasy VI comic 6 1 8.33% final fantasy comics 7 1 8.33% final fant...

Re: Creative Breakthroughs
When I drew my first comic, I would sit in my chair for hours waiting for an ah-ha to get the page to make sense with the page before it.
Not the most efficient way to do a comic.

I'm doing it to improve my art.
If I could do this as a career, I'd be very happy, but am just not there yet artistically.

Re: Creative Breakthroughs
My most recent "Ah-ha" moment came as a reminder of something I had learned long ago: your drawings come out better when you use references instead of drawing from memory. Yes, you may be rushing to finish a page and it might seem like it'll take too long to bring out that mirror and pose to get tha...

This sounds like a fun idea. I'm not what you'd call "established" enough in the community, but I'd love to see the drawings that people come up with. I know it can be hard to disguise one's style. Good luck everyone!

What is it about search strings that fascinate us? Re: How do u deal with the trips?
Uh, well, for me, I would just carry on like nothing happened. It's kind of a red-flag when you check out a new webcomic (new to you, that is) and see that the updates section is filled with excuses and apologies, and the archives are filled with sketches that take too long to flip through. If you c...

It dawned on me that the last time I participated in the forums was for the last search string thread... I'm just so darn fascinated by those things! Anyway: : pics of the cast of the jerk <--- what? This *might* be from that movie with Steve Martin from the late 70's. Called "The Jerk". Now, my sea...

Anime Central (Acen) 2008
Do we have any Genners going to Acen this year? It's the con near Chicago. My friend and I are looking to split a room with a couple people. We got a room reserved at the Double Tree hotel (literally across the street from the Convention, and closer to the Dealer's Room side). Give me a shout if you...

Haha, search strings are fun to look at... though mine aren't anything special yet. Re: If you can't log in to SiteAdmin but you could before
Yay, I was able to log into siteadmin! For me, changing ff6comic to Ff6comic works just fine. I'm an obsessive checker of the number of visitors I receive, so I was getting a bit anxious. Thanks again!

Re: boozeathon4billion - webcomicy goodness three days a week
Since you helped me with my signature, I figured I could at least take a look at your comic here, eh? :) It is a promising comic. Some of the humor really isn't my style, though I do like the fat man on January 4th's comic. His body is shaped like a Hershey Kiss! I would like to see the return of He...

Re: "A Whole Lotta Nothin" exactly what you'll get
I don't know why you'd say your comic sucks while simultaneously trying to get people to look at it. But I did anyway, and, uh... its not bad. Though perhaps you may want to pretty up your site first and add more pages to the archive before plugging it? There are a lot of good sources on the CG Wiki...
