Ow, bright. Do not want.
It's also very hard to see what topics are new/updated now. Can't you put the old theme (or something similar) back as a user choice?

I used to put fully rendered backgrounds in every frame, but I've stopped doing that, because it took a little too long, and it kind of distracts from the characters, makes the panels all cluttered (unless you make the outlines(if any) a lighter color than black). Now I try to stylize them, using as...

That's probably also my favourite webcomic, art-wise. Just everything Kazu does is magical. I can't wait to check out his new book Amulet.Jen_Babcock wrote:I really like Copper

Dinerdate - serving fun 24/7
Dinerdate is a webcomic centered around a man and his dog, who hang out in a diner most of their free time. There, they get into wacky situations with the other patrons, which include a bear and a professional frenchman. Dinerdate has been running for 5 years, and recently switched to Comicpress. Cu...

I am (maybe falsely once again) excited for this one. I don't know about the massive amounts of people (and kids?) running around, although I suppose they'll wear thin pretty quickly, judging from the massive carnage. I see jungle, that's good, and my heart jumped when I thought I saw Sigourney Weav...

Very cool, Microsoft is really coming up with some fun new technology. It may still be in beta, but the Rome Photosynth demo looks very nice already. Can't wait to see the thing in full working order. remember a few years ago when IBM was marketing the Borg headsets? I really hope someday those are ...

I'd advise you to at least ink the pencils before you scan them, that gives you a cleaner line than just boosting the levels on pencilwork. And using a more advanced art program will save you time I think (although you'll have to learn it first) because you'll be able to color under the linework. Th...

I've just finished Scott's books, and I absolutely loved them. Especially Making Comics really focuses more on the actual mechanics of creating a strip instead of just understanding how it works. Many great examples and good tips. I love it. If you're looking for a sample, Chapter 5 1/2 is an extra ...

When I ink 'analog'(so not on my tablet) I exclusively use fineliners, or at least what is considered fixed-width pens. I sketch up the page in all the detail, and just trace it with a pen. I had some great ones when I was young but they stopped making those, so I just try out various alternatives I...

If you want to start a comic you should just do it. I started more or less on a whim, wanting to get into webcomics, and at first, my stuff sucked. But if you obsess about your art to the point where you never finish a strip, youll never grow. The way to grow is to keep doing it -preferrably- every ...
