The bard grins widely with the prospect of further fodder for his tales.

Indubitably. Let us see what we've got over here.

Torch in one hand and his mace in the other, Aeron starts down the darkened corridor, craning his neck and squinting at the edge of the torchlight.

I like that a lot, Dustman! I'll have to look through the rest when I get the chance, but if it's like that, it's right up my alley.

"Pry with the knees and legs, not with the back!"

Aeron sits back and writes in his notes, looking up occasionally to see how the prying is going and to make sure his bow is within arms reach.

I was wondering how the Book was. I'll have to check it out pretty soon. I'll also have to check out that flute and see if it's in tune! In other news, I'm not dead, I'm just trying to recover from a bit of a PC meltdown (my laptop lost all my internet RP related stuff, so I'm scrounging for old lin...

Man, it's good to finally be back in one place again. That was the most interesting trip back from school that I could have thought of, though I could have done without the 6 hour drive in a snowstorm. I miss anything?

... Wait, it's not my job to kill my players? You mean it's not my job to kill them QUICKLY! I have to let the suffering drag on for a few sessions, let them start to settle into their skills and characters and THEN kill them :). Nah, I have to say I like it better when they win out of the challengi...

"Take that, you rambunctious rodents!"

The bard lets fly another arrow at the rat swarm, looking to take the fight out of the rats. And the rats out of the fight. Simultaneously!

Ready... Aim... Fire! (1d20+4=23)

Damage? (1d6+1=2) Note: You can't win em all.

I have to put up this story, because the paladin conversation reminds me of a good friend of mine. He loved his paladin character, and I have to say it was a blast to play with him. The problem with the party was with the fact that not a single person crested true neutral but him, so it was frequent...

Does the QIS get multiclassing options? I imagine a dual-classed QIS/rogue would be hell for the rest of the party, using move silently and slight of hand to steal players out from underneath themselves, regardless of post count or attendance...

You'd be surprised what brothers are up for. I had a group of my friends that I played DnD with in highschool until we graduated and one joined the marines. We had a campaign to finish and a free spot, so I grabbed my little brother (he was about 13 then). He got so into it that he was having me hel...

That's a solid piece of armor there. I like the backsweeping crest on the helmet, and what's the design on the belt/back there? Anything special?

:o Initiative (1d20+3=7) Stunned by the column of rats at work at the door, Aeron fumbles around with his bow and takes a moment to get his first shot off. Though he still looks a little shaken, he seems to be doing much better, seeing as there's not a Rat Empire Death Machine on the other side of t...

Listening to the squeaking sound beyond the door, the bard's imagination begins to run wild. Visions of a war machine, designed by imprisoned mouse slaves of the Mad Rat Empire, creaking slowly and inexhoribly, the broken and bloody bodies of adventuring victims festooning its blackened bow. The spi...

Sorry about the sparse nature of my posts lately. I've got 9 finals in 10 days starting Thursday, so I've been overly engaged. I'm trying though! The poor bard, being driven rather rapidly mad by whatever odd and obscure things lay beyond the door. Should be interesting though. I'm going to take lun...

As the squeaking stops, Aeron mutters on for a moment and then falls silent. He cringes a bit and clears his throat. "Yes, well, thank you for that Simon. I guess all that squeaking just got me caught up in the moment. Erm... yeah." The bard shuffles nervously from one foot to the other, looking qui...
