My setting is taken from real life, and I have plans for a couple of characters based on real life people, but that's about as far as that goes.

I sketch in pencil and then go over my sketches with one of those special pens I bought at an art store. I forget what it's called, but it works better than a ballpoint pen.

Since my characters are all college freshmen (yeah, I know, lame, but the college setting is just a background for the mysteries), I plan on posting their majors and GPAs and maybe even SAT scores (or GRE scores for the graduate students).
