And yet, oddly enough, from what you said of him, he seems to have absorbed the seedier side of American culture like a sponge.

Comic Discussion - Non-Canon Strips

A new thread has been needed for this for a while, says I, as it's been over a month since June 11.

On today's, that actually has always bugged me. Plus, Rowling never indicated how Voldemort stands on the economy, and I think it's fair to assume he isn't pro-Life.

Re: Webcomics - serious business.
Sometimes I just wake up in the morning and say, "My comic may suck, but at least I've never stolen a joke from Reader's Digest or drawn a panty shot of a dead woman."
Exccellent burn, Legendary. Cinematography: difficult. Only good cinematography, and considering that your...

Well, this is a movie discussion thread, not a Pirates of the Caribbean thread, so I'll raise some choice movies. Pan's Labyrinth. It's absolutely incredible, both fantastic and deeply disturbing. The Faun is particularly horrifying, and I liked the characterization of the Fascist father. He isn't c...
Well it seems there are two schools of thought on this one. People either love the fact that the ending wasn't all sunshine and buttercups or they hate it.
I though I gave this a response. The issue for me isn't that I only like happy endings, after all, Spartacus is one of m...

I think the director lost focus in this one. The reason Pirates 1 was so great was because it was gleefully ridiculous, really lacking all seriousness. I think a completely happy ending would have actually fit the movie better. As to the movie itself, it was too long, drastically overused the slow m...

Yeah, World's End replaced no ending with merely a bad one. I enjoyed he movie, but the ending is terrible, and I wish there was a place to properly debate this.

I think I could certainly get to like Algernon.

Next time they mention the number "1024", say that it is not only the base number of harddrive, but is the standard number of hoplites in a full company of ...
