(I can't tell you how helpful that one is.) -Notes on family trees and birthdays. -created a character livejournal as an easter egg for the site. -designed ...

I co-write my strip. And really- the characters run the strip. So, I don't bother classifying it. They do whatever they're gonna do, and I'm just along for the ride. I'm not 'super serial' about it, but I do believe in updating consistently, because it keeps up readership, and then the characters do...

Hm. It would be a lot easier to see what's going on with more contrast between the characters and the background. If you want to stick with the pencil, I highly suggest checking out Bad Blood . Liriel is really good at using pencil, and still keeping everything neat and legible. I also noticed that ...

I'm also slightly OCD, and having that type of organization puts my mind at ease (and also makes the archive calendar look pretty...) Ooh yeah! I love that! Uhm. So, I expect that if a comic says they have a schedule, that they update on that schedule. Some, like Something Positive, don't claim to ...

Maybe think about broadening your site design a little. As it is, the whole site is set up in one long line, you could put your cbox next to your blogger, or something. Stuff at the very bottom of the page tends to get lost. The background is kind of distracting, even though it's just black and grey...

Uhm... ironically enough, the comic gets in the way of the comic. I'll esplain. I co-write the strip with a friend. She writes one set of characters, or "roles" and I write the other set, or "roles" and then we hash or "play" out the script. Okay, so, the comic is basically scripted by roleplaying o...

Geek Blather's First Birthday!
I don't post in here very often, but I thought I'd pop in and say that my comic Geek Blather is going to be a year old as of November 7th. I'm going to try to make some wallpapers and some holiday cards to celebrate.

I think that artists are harsh because we're also usually our own worst critics. Slacks posted asking for help and critique, theoretically with a bent towards making their art better. If everyone were to say, "Oh, it's fine, keep going..." that's kind of useless as a critique. So far as critique goe...
