Re: Death Panels for All! The health care thread

the public option would not be an actual reform. At best it would be a quick fix that would cost an administration already far worse in debt than the previous 3 administrations put together billions more. It's not sustainable, and it doesn't address the actual problem--that health care is too highly...

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0

I am so goddam fucking pissed off that anything above rambling nonsensical yelling can't convey the emotions I'm feeling. One fucker, two fucker, red fucker, blue fucker. Black fucker, blue fucker, old fucker, new fucker. This one has a little star. This one has a little car. Say! What a lot of GOD...

Re: Death Panels for All! The health care thread

I don't think that the US is more influenced by religion; I think that the US is just louder about religion. This is probably because we have so many contradictory and contrary viewpoints, such that the religious issues never have a chance to settle down. In addition, We have a doctrine of seperatio...

Re: Livejournal-style Whining Thread 2.0

So yeah. I've been thinking about rebooting my comic. I don't remember there being nearly so much work the last time i did this though... ...of course that could be because this time I'm doing that whole "planning" thing. Odd how much time and effort that takes, but hopefully it'll mean I can avoid ...

Re: Who else here is a TV Troper?

I had the wxperience in a game recently where I said,"he's either the big bad, or at least the dragon"
The DM responded " why do you think he's a dragon?"
Cue explanation...

Re: An observation, and a question.

I stopped posting here because I found too many people on here and in the chat made me much angrier and emoer (that's not a word is it?) than I wanted to be. All of this, I think, was more due to other factors than this forum, really, so I figure I'd start posting here again. So here I am. I'd like...

Another fun science site

I was looking at TVtropes, and before to long, I had come across this site with the exponential linking. I'm sure Ryan has seen it, but I thought others might find it interesting, too. I've spent 3+ hours on it today myself. http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/index.html edited-I had the address wrong-o...

Re: An observation, and a question.

On the plus side, this argument totally supports my "drama increases posting" theory. Your petty arguments make me look like a genius! Then right here, right now, I will jump on the grenade and save the forums single handedly: Everyone on this forums can all go straight to hell to suck on Hitler's ...

Re: An observation, and a question.

I cna understand that that's the way you took Cj's posts. However, her posts indicated that she beleived that anyone of that ages doing these things was creepy. In addition, there was the post, which while probably sarcastic, stated "Tell me what Social Disorder"the poster had. in retrospect, I can ...

Re: An observation, and a question.

This is not a CJ roast. If it was, I would have bar-b-que sauce, we'd have snowboarding, and there would be beer. Hey, now...it's not so much about CJ personally as much as it is that I (cuz I can only speak for myself) get more than a little defensive when someone tells me what I'm "supposed" to d...

Re: An observation, and a question.

I don't think you should stop surfing the internet all together. I just think people should get some friends around their own age. ...why? Isn't that a bit limiting? What if you relate best to people older or younger than you? What if what you enjoy most out of life happens to attract people of a d...

Re: Now you can try human flesh and be a vegetarian too!

How the hell do they taste-test that stuff? Do they have some Fleshmaster that tastes the tofu every day, like sniffing some cognac? more importantly, how do they ensure it tastes like human flesh? Do they have a cannibal on staff, and pull the old we've switched hannibals "bacon" with Hufu...let's...
