I'm glad the forums are up so that I could check into this - I had a little heart attack when my SmartFTP wasn't allowing me access to http://evilneedscandytoo.comicgenesis.com/ I'm still stuck in queue with a lot of the others - but understand that things are happening around in the site - so I app...

So instead of following that tutorial of uploading the text with the comics folder, I should put it in the new notes one. Also - I have a co-author who will most likely be writing notes too - as long as we put a letter after the date, like for example - 20061013a.txt and 20061013b.txt - the A one wo...

Awesome! It's fixed! ^^ Thanks for the link to the correct tag and the help. I missed that one completely.

Oh, and love the Life's A Witch! ^^ I've read a month or two when waiting for my comic to be created. Nice job!

Okay, I've created a data folder in the workspace area - then a subdirectory of notes within the data folder

So...hopefully it's like this workspace/data/notes :)

I've placed a testing note on the page in question and triggered an update.

Now to wait to see if it corrects the problem. ^^

Replaces tag with a dated note or three from /workspace/data/notes/.[/]

I do not have this folder in my FTP workspace area - am I supposed to create it?

I've triggered an update though, so I will see if that corrects the problem after placing the tag.

I must have missed that tag. :) Let me try an update with that in there and see if that corrects the problem.

Should I put that tag on the indextemplate as well?

Comment Text Placement

Hello! ^^ I've been attempting to put news/comments on my website - or at least trying to format it. I've read the tutorial - http://cgwiki.comicgenesis.com/index.php/Tutorials/Adding_Text_and_Comments And have tried what it said - where I do get the comments to show up underneath the comic. ^^ The ...

Your archives will update when there is a comic, but usually the rest of the pages won't update unless they've changed. Usually. In the AutoGenesis beta testing, the archives will update depending on if there's a comic, and if the archives use a ***calendar*** or related tag. The webpages themselve...

Re: FTP Use and Webpage Updating Question

Just in case you didn't know; the Keenspace Gear is deprecated. You should be looking to the CGwiki tutorials for help now. I was under the impression that you did not need a FTP program to upload comics - but am a bit confused as FAQs. I've went to the newer siteadmin - and do see where I can uplo...

FTP Use and Webpage Updating Question

Hello - currently fumbling newbie, rather confused about the KeenSpace Gear information about working on the comic - such as uploading, editing the page, etc. I was under the impression that you did not need a FTP program to upload comics - but am a bit confused as FAQs. I've went to the newer sitea...
