How do I make an HTML page "from scratch"?

I read the Spacer's Gear, and it told me where to upload, but it hasn't told me how to make the cast pages and etc...plus, I want buttons, links, etc. How do I do all that?

I named the files by the dates, like 06152006 or something like that, (I did it correctly!) and it was set up just recently...

I try to upload comics, but when I upload them to workspace/comics, I get nothing. It's all blank.

I go to clautraphabus.comicgenesis.com and it says December 0, a wrong and impossible date.

claustraphabus.keenspace.com just shows an error page.

HELP!!!
