Heh. It did remind me that I was long due to browse this forum again.

I take them out because it ruins the pacing when people are trying to read the story in one go. Besides I don't like when the fourth wall collapses. My fillers are usually drawn by somebody else, so they end up in the fan art section.

I spend longer and longer on each page, so it gets harder to meet the deadlines. Also some of the pages intimidate me. I look at the script or rough sketch and I'm not sure how to tackle the real thing, so the work starts out slower and unblocks eventually.

I don't think we have overdone it, myself, but as a general rule, to draw things in a strange perspective for no reason, is not a good thing to do. I meant to start a few, back when I spent only an hour a day on Fainting Spells. But I gradually started spending more and more time on it so I've had to give up on other projects.

I've been using mostly colors in the dream world, grayscale / monochrome in the real world for dramatic moments, and I'm saving pure black and white for actual violent scenes, if I can find it in me to draw them once I get there.
