A friend of mine pointed out A LOT of coding errors and real bad programming on my site. Unfortunately I cannot change it since it is the stuff that Autokeen puts in it!^^ I like my page. Problem is: it is so simple (and good-looking that way) that I cannot add anything like vote-buttons. It would e...

Hi there! I'm still reading your comic and I want to tell you my first thoughts on it. First of: If this is really your first comic then you did a great job! The art and storytelling is solid AND you managed keep the project going for quite some time. That is far more than most webcomicartists achie...

That is jut... weird. Really. Weird and creepy, those are the only words coming to my mind. I guess it's really the best way to kill him with kindness, like Starline said. That's a very good advice. And if he really starts stalking you, you can count on the community to back you up! :) EDIT: And I r...

Hi there, "Life of Lars" has a little bit of history. 5 years ago I started my webcomic Rick Saturo . I had no real concept and dreamt of becoming one of the big ones. I dreamt of doing crossovers with Sluggy and Megatokyo and all the others. Silly little dream. However, this dream lead to the demis...

Feedback on "Life of Lars"?

Hello there, I have here a webcomic I really like. It happens to be my own, but I really like it. More than I want people to see it, I want people to tell me what they think about it. I'd like to hear if my concept works, if this really is the mixture of amusing and serious I had in mind. Do people ...

I'll be drawing a pirate-day-strip today and post it as yesterdays comics!^^

Yesterday I met up with three friends. We dressed up as pirates, drank grog/beer, ate chicken wings, sang karaoke and played "Guitar Heroes"!

It was good, arr!

Life of Lars - Seriously lighthearted

Hello everyone, My comic Life of Lars is about me. Plain and simple. It is sort of a drawn biography, where I tell you about my life and myself. The comic more or less is a medium for me to talk about the things I find important (mostly me). I always try to do this in a lighthearted, amusing way. Th...

I don't even know why you ask the question. It's your comic. If you feel like you have to tell this story, then you should do it. Unless you aim for maximum reader-compatibilty... One thing though: You can only harvest what you seeded before. Don't expect the reader to feel with your characters if y...

My name brings up a lot of entries about my two webcomics, a lot of movie-related sites and festival sites and of course my IMDB-entry.

I love googling the names of people I know! :D

I usually go with one of three techniques:
1. Check name-sites. Maybe you're inspired.
2. Watch movie-credits. Don't take too famous names like Stan Winston (my gamemaster did that!^^)
3. Choose a telling name Like Mr. Reeman or Pussy Galore...

Finding a goof name is hard work. Good luck!

In the beginning of my first comic http:/ricksaturo.comicgenesis.com it took me about 2 hours to draw a single strip. I managed to upload three per week. In the end I couldn't live up to my own standards and it took me about 9 hours/strip. Needless to say, that I quit drawing RS eventuall...

Hi there!

Sorry to say this, but I didn't read any of your stuff yet. I'm sitting in an internetcafe right now and I found your site-navigation and especially the fact that it is in Flash very annyoing. Something faster less fancy would be more!

I'll check out your content soon!

The anime emoticon one is actually pretty darn awesome! Great idea, very well executed! I would buy one if I wouldn't be living on the other side of the planet... I think that one would actually work as a poster. The other ones look good too, but I think for posters they're not detailed enough and y...

I totally missed the song contest this year. I thought it would be some time next week or so. How did the germans score?
(I could just look it up myself, but I want to hear it from you! XD )

Take something perfectly normal. Something everyone knows. Give something odd, just a little outside of the norm, something that doesn't belong.
Example: A man with awkward proportions or slightly different eyes, a cat with hands or a dog that doesn't move but only stares...
You get the concept.

I like the art very much and I don't care much about right-/left, left/right-reading. I study Japanese myself so that may be the reason. But since you decided to change the direction of reading, why don't you try to convert your previous comics? You could rearrange the panels and wherever that doesn...

Since I don't care about ratings at all I'm probably not the right person to ask, but I think you should lower the rating. First of all you're hampering yourself. A dogmatic rating keeps you from freely developing your comic. You should not let it get in your way. The rating is just a label to warn ...

As OBS said, you could use the program to plan your background and locate your characters in it. Just use it to help you with your perspective, to figure out, what works best and then draw your own thing based on it. I personally find the idea intriguing. Perspective is very hard to master and some ...
