Question about XML/scripts

Hi, I know what it is I want to accomplish, I just don't know how - and I know enough coding that I know it SHOULD be possible. Confused? Me too... I want to retrieve the [Numcomics: ###] item from my strip's XML page for use on an external webpage - basically, I want to create a link to the current...

My comic is still not auto-updating, and I really don't know why (I'm no code monkey). On the Comic Data page, I've got auto-update enabled and the comic is scheduled to update Today at 3 AM PST (4 AM my time). It is now almost three hours later and this is what the .xml file says: <?xml version="1....

Hey, as long as I can still update manually, I'm more than happy to be patient while you fix it. After all, I know you're doing this all out of the goodness of your heart (and a desire to not have to manually update your own comics). Thanks for yours and Kisai's efforts! :D </brownnose> Hey everyone...

I have the time set for 4 AM TODAY (GMT +12). According to SiteAdmin, the last update was at 00:00:00 (no surprise there, that's what it always says). The RSS file says last build date was Tue, 24 Jul 2007 12:14:10 UTC. Do I need to change something? Ian PS: I use Mozilla almost exclusively but I've...

Still not auto-updating. Dr. Lao, wouldn't that mean that a manual update wouldn't work either? If I do a manual, my comic advances to the next day without a problem. I don't mind manually-updating, as I write a daily author commentary for the strip (like it was a director commentary for a DVD), but...

Auto-update isn't working

I have not changed any settings since before the server migration, but all this past week the only way my comic will update is if I force a manual regular update. And then this morning, the comic "backslid" to two days ago and the regular update only pulled forward yesterday's comic. I tried a secon...

The past two days I've had to manually update my comic. I just use the Regular Update function which does the trick, but I'm curious why I need to at all (since I never changed the settings since before the server move and it always updated automatically before).

I'm using the format in my coding:

but images are loading as 1x1 pixels! Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this?

Hi Linkara, and thanks for reading!

I'm sure there are clear "head" pieces for use with Tom Servo, but sadly I do not possess any.

I'm not up on tagboards - what are they?

It should work in theory, and that is indeed the part of Norton that is causing the trouble, but when I try to add the site as safe, Norton won't save it. Thanks for that idea - I'm narrowing down the trouble. Any further suggestions?

I'm running Mozilla 1.5.0.4 and still can't get any graphics except the comic to show up. I checked on another computer we have running IE 6.0.29 etc. and instead of the graphics, I get the "red X boxes" instead. The hard refresh doesn't make a difference. What I discovered is that by disabling Nort...

Graphics problem

Sometime over the weekend, for reasons unknown, all the graphics on my site stopped loading except for the comic itself. No logo, pics on the cast page, etc. are loading. I did a full update on Wednesday or Thursday to fix an unrelated issue and afterward everything still checked out ok. I made no c...
