Well...

I noticed that nobody had mentioned this before, so I'll spill the beans on the boonga-boonga game. Boonga-boonga is based off a game that japanese schoolchildren play (usually the really, REALLY young ones) where you do precisely what you do in the game; give some unsuspecting stranger a jab in the...

Permissions issue.

I'm helping another user get her webpage up and running, and I seem to have run into a spot of trouble. The execute bit is missing from all the folders in her public_html directory, keeping me (and everyone else) from opening them. I've tried the renaming trick, but it doesn't seem to work with dire...

Word to the wise; you may want to work on cleaning up your posts before you send them off. It's a bit of a pain to slogg through that many typo-s trying to figure out what you're asking.

Of course not, you haven't run an update yet. ^.^ Go to siteadmin http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com Enter your forum username and password, add your comic using your ftp username and password, and tell it to run a regular update. ---Churusaa ps Just make sure the date isn't tomorrow... ^.~ ---Churusaa

If you want autokeen to insert the images into your comic, they have to go in /workspace/comics. Autokeen processes everything in /workspace/ and moves it to where it should be in /public_html/ when it gets done. If you want your comic to show up as being updated, you'll have to put them in /workspa...

Try to avoid using any extra periods in your filename, as it confuses AutoKeen. If you want to add your comicname before the date string, I'd suggest you use a hyphen ' - ', or an underscore ' _ ' between 'em AKA; pyro-20060125.png OR eahs_20060125.gif Or whatever, just make sure the date string is ...

Go ahead and download Filezilla from sourceforge
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net I think
It's the best ftp client I've ever used. Just make sure you get the client, and not the server. Filezilla makes both (free)

To delete items from the FTP

Most likely you were unable to delete from the FTP because your login session had expired. What are you using to connect to the FTP server?

The form to change your password is here.

It's pretty simple. Enter your comic name and the password you want, send, then enter the activation code in the proper box when the number arrives via email.

I like shoutmix. I actually use one of their shoutboxes on my site and I'm very happy with how configurable it is. My only complaint is that they often take too long to load.

The software is to give your computer a way to communicate with the server (kinda like downloading a browser to view webpages) You can still read html files without a browser, but without a browser, html support is kinda cheesy. It's the same with FTP. You can connect to the FTP without downloading ...

Um...

If you don't have it already, download Filezilla here if you use windows. or Cyberduck if you're using a mac.
Hopefully this will solve your problem with the FTP not accepting your changes...

Your image is busted. Delete the old one and re-upload. When I tried to acces the image directly from your site, I received an internal server error.

Not a big deal, just a corrupted image file.

Where are you adding that code? It should probably go in your <body> tag, as such:

Code: Select all

<body {
width : 800px;
margin-left : auto;
margin-right : auto;
} >YOURPAGE</body>
