Re: On Obtaining a Tablet...
...So, essentially, it's like using a mouse only holding it differently. Actually, once you get used to it, it's nothing like holding a mouse. I had the same concerns as you before buying my tablet (a Wacom Intuos; cost around $150) but I quickly found that drawing on the tablet while looking at th...

Re: Is 5,000 copies over the top?
Have you contacted any distributors, such as Diamond? I don't know how these things work in the UK, but if you can hook up with a distributor that should relieve at least some of your headaches. You'll probably want to do some advertising and promotion as well, since most distributors just distribut...

Re: Full page or strips?
Designing a story as a series of strips is a different sort of thing than designing it as a series of pages, even if the strips themselves are designed to later be put together as a single page. It can work, as Hegre and numerous other cartoonists have shown: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en...

Transferring the files itself wasn't that bad, but organizing them is proving to be a massive pain in the arse. ComicPress doesn't have any support for chapters, and so far I haven't been able to find any decent plugins that will do the job. I may end up writing a plugin myself. That could turn ugly.

Re: My serialising dilemma
You could do it like a newspaper strip, and only have the 30 most recent pages online at any given time. I agree with your friend who thinks there's nothing wrong with keeping the entire thing online, but having little practical experience with this I couldn't really say.

After many years, and several months of procrastination, Ataraxia Theatre is moving from ComicGenesis to its new home at www.AtaraxiaTheatre.com . I've set up a ComicPress blog and have started the long, painful task of copying over almost 400 pages. It's been a busy year. I recently became the mana...

Re: Serialisation sucess
I think I've told you before that you should be in print, and now you are. Congratulations!
BTW, are you getting any compensation for being printed, monetary or otherwise? I'm asking purely for reasons of licentious curiosity.

Review for Reading Days... Art Overall, I like the way Reading Days looks. It has a sort of minicomic/underground feel to it. Comparing these strips to some of the early G/Nerds pages, I have to say that I really like the way your art is developing. The English ball page is a good example of what I ...
