So how do I find my rreally old comics? [solved]

Hi, all! I'm amazed my login from the Keenspace days still works. I write Man-Man, which has been on its own URL since around 2004 or so, but went through a few years on KeenSpace back in the day, long before it was called Comic Genesis. The main page is still up -- manmancomics.comicsgenesis.com --...

AND WE'RE OFF!

Visit mayday.comixpedia.com for the official Mayday site. The second panel is up, and we're even providing an example of what linkage art might look like.

It's never too late to get on board, so give it a try!

Starting this with the artist of Athena Voltaire is instant intimidation. The other artists you have lined up are even more intimidating. I can't produce anything near that level of quality. Think of it as standing on the shoulders of giants! You can look at as (a) a fun way to get some new readers...

You don't ha-a-aaave to e-mail me to sign up, but it helps. Plus, it gets your name in circulation on the site even earlier. And adds the great motivator of public shame if you don't follow through!

Excellent. My comixpedia e-mail is still being configured, so just send join requests to (updated!!!) shepherd at comixpedia dot com . Spread the word, too! The webcomics community is so freakin' huge that it's hard to propagate information properly these days, and I try not to spam. Posting in the ...

Sign up for the Comixpedia May 2005 event: MAYDAY!

Put on your fedoras and your battered leather jackets, slap on a six-shooter full of pencil lead and get ready for ... action! The Comixpedia May 2005 event starts in about a week! It's called Mayday, and it's all about the action! Well... all about action, and all about you! Mayfair Day is in troub...

I did Na-Nokids-NoWriMo. Can't imagine what it'd be like with children to take care of. You're a better man than I for even trying, Gunga Din.

National Novel Writing Month is a non-profit volunteer-driven voluntary-participation dealie that encourages people to try to write a full novel (50,000+ words) within the month of November. There is nothing that says it has to be a GOOD novel. Their thesis is that everybody's first novel pretty muc...

Re: Duality Novel

Yeah, I signed up for the NaNoWriMo thingie, in the hopes of forcing myself to actually write something. It kinda worked - I got farther than I had before, but I still got bogged down around 3-4000 words, and haven't had a chance to do much with i...

Well, I've had just about enough of your hateful MD bashing, you prick. Just kidding. You've made it very clear, but as the only devil's advocate in the thread, opposing you is the only way for us insecure MD addicts to keep self-justifying in the face of quite-possibly-superior and less expensive t...

...but it's about to get better, Beej - FX is running Buffy Season 6 at the rate of 2 eps a day starting today, and we're tapin' em (cuz Carey refuses to wait until June to find out what happens, and who am I to argue? ;)) I'm not being critical -- honest -- but it just struck me how little the abo...

Yes, you can. It's called a "Playlist". I've got plenty of playlists on my iPod. Admittedly, not all MP3 players can do this, but some can. Wauugh. I forgot another thing above: a woeful lack of time and interest to research these things thoroughly. I made a blanket assumption based on the few unit...

I don't want to be pimping my own forum too much here, but I laid out what I felt were some pretty solid arguments when comparing MDs to portable CD players; link's in the first post here. In short, I prefer MDs because... - Mic and line inputs for various journalistic and other field recordings; ca...

Hey, you're an MD fan!

Just saw your name over at the Minidisc forums. Wild! I have been fighting the good fight over at the Man-Man forum while drooling over the new Hi-MD stuff coming out later this spring.

We shall overcome the iPod onslaught!

Re: Heh.

Apparently there have been complaints lodged against me. Well, I wouldn't say "complaints," exactly, more e-mails from people who'd seen I Blame Danny -- which, you must admit, doesn't follow the path of conventional comicry in most ways -- and were wondering if you were a serious sign-up or were j...

Some newish developments and answers to questions stated above: 1. Comixpedia has learned the folly of reviewing Penny Arcade. While the PA guys agreed the review was fair and we were spared the meteor shower of frothing-at-the-mouth flames that came with the Little Gamers review, the PA attention t...

Thanks for stickyfying. Initial response looks good for STARTING on Valentine's Day rather than concluding, so we may extend the deadline to Feb. 14. A decision will be made tonight and the event page updated tomorrow. The squeaky wheel gets the grease! I never forget my password because my password...
