ahahahaa
I can't stop laughing reading this post. I only put it on here to show some of the people who ink digitally, or who would like to, that it is possible to get crisp lines without vector art (i.e. adobe illustrator or inkscape). I myself have always had a heck of a time inking with the tablet, hell, m...

Gabeart 8-10-2006
I just thought this was pimp. http://pennyarcadeart.blogspot.com/2006/10/i-decided-to-ink-my-boba-fett-sketch.html It's a video of Gabe from Penny Arcade inking a bobba fett pic he posted up the other day. I think it gives a good insight into digital inking with a wacom. What I gained from it was th...

I like it
I like it, sounds to be an interesting story. Although I don't really get the references you made, perhaps further in the story they will come to light. You have a nice clean style, and like I said, the story makes me want to read further.
Great comic.

Another small trick
You could also try using the old crayon trick of outlining and then coloring in small circles, well, moving the pen in small circles while coloring. It will wear out the marker sooner, but should give you an even color.

What happened to the hat on your smiley, heheh. Well, I think that the new design is definitely easier on the eye. In the old design the black and the boxed in text for the tutorial made it contrast just a little too much for my tastes. I haven't read your tutorials before, and seeing the new design...

ahh yes
so you do use layers then, I guess I could've just said to put a layer on top of the people and then just fill it with a light gray that is fairly transparent, but then keep the energy above that so it doesn't get any of it's brightness taken away.

really dark
Wow, those backgrounds are really dark, I don't think that you really need to go that dark unless you want to. The only other suggestion I could give is like Black Sparrow said earlier, try not to outline the energy, give it a fuzzy edge with the airbrush tool, and personally, I would add some brigh...

Only a little help
Just a little help, I don't want to get into every part of it, but the "fireballs" or whatever would make a stronger presence if they were in contrast to a darker background. It doesn't have to be that much darker, but the contrast should help to add to the glowing effect. see http://forums.comicgen...

My mad coloring skills are more like upset coloring skills
But I thought I'd give it a try, besides, I'd hate to post some line art without having first contributed some color. This has been a really great post to see some crazy and totally different coloring techniques, they've all come out great though
