Re: I'll review your webcomic.
All, right, I was just going to walk away because I was getting pissed off about being treated like a n00b, but I'm going to try one more time to explain myself. I was not butthurt about this review. This is hardly the worst review I've ever gotten. I got one a few years back that literally had me h...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
Okay. If being "prepared" for a review/critique involves not pursuing communication and clarification after getting it, I refuse to ever be prepared. Getting a broad strokes review and then huddling in a cave trying to decipher it like it's the Oracle of Delphi is a waste of time. If you go to a fic...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
FWIW, one person's review isn't usually enough to make me not read a comic. Heck, any review at all is likely to make me check something out. Well, I'm the opposite. When I'm scrolling through looking for recommendations, I'm not clicking on the comics that get the bad reviews. And LC didn't even g...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
Of course I'm going to fault you for being obtuse, so a random person who might actually read through all this will take it into consideration and still give my comic a try after you panned it. And yes, I'm going to be defensive after you make broad statements about me having no clear concept or vis...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
The chapter doesn't establish rules for magic, though. All that's shown is that the elves can draw symbols on the ground and make cool stuff happen. Which pages are you referring to that explain the "what, where, and when" of magic? Also, the potential problems you noted are just examples of bad wr...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
As far as world building goes, keep in mind that just about every fantasy setting out there's based on the same Tolkien stuff (or on D&D , which is blatantly based on Tolkien). Anyone reading your comic should assume there's magic and fae-like creatures anyways. Pardon, but you couldn't be more wro...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
Question(s). Is "racial tension" really the only thing happening for you in those twenty-one pages? Did you not feel like you were learning about the characters and the setting at all? The idea behind this chapter was have the two characters try to get along despite racial differences only to learn ...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
A fantasy comic named Quest is sorta like a crime mystery tv show called The Killing. At least you know what you're getting into, though. Some of the comics I've reviewed have names that don't have to do with anything, e.g. Chaos , June , DeSTRESS , and Ten Ways How Bendy Straws Saved My Life . And...

Re: I'll review your webcomic.
I'll go ahead and throw my comic on the chopping block: The Prime of Ambition This comic has been in a three year hiatus while I've been busy with child-rearing (what kind of excuse is that, right?), but I'm currently in the process of getting it ready for a reboot. While some pages are getting redr...

Ad tattling
I don't remember where...but I thought I read somewhere that the mandatory ads (the ones on top) were never allowed to have sound. That said, I've been seeing one ad that emits a constant and very annoying "ping" sound. It's one of those "You are a winner! Click to claim your prize!" dealies. Just t...

You shouldn't need to change every page, just the two templates (unless you update by hand each time). I have a large array of extras that go with the comic. World settings and characters section and galleries and such. Those I have to do by hand. I did manage to manually update after spending seve...

My comic hasn't updated all day either. I don't remember when I first tried manually updating (6 or 7 pm), but my comic won't stay queued. It's now after midnight and another couple thousand are running through, but no sign of my latest comic. I am running google analytics and haven't changed the co...

Even though I'm never logged in when I start up my browser, I can only get into site admin if I log in and log out of the forum first. Also, I can't view all my stat details for this month. It posts half of them, and then I get this: XML error: EntityRef: expecting ';' at line 1353 Is this an error ...

Your browser is broken, please use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Opera or something that supports HTTP Digest Authentication compliant with RFC2617!(Opera does not appear to do this right ATM...) Nothing is as flexible as CG, which is why I intend to stick around to the bitter end. I do have a mirror site on DrunkDuck now, just so I can continue updating, and I've put advertising on hold (unfortunate, due to the fast approach of Connecticon), but I came to CG because the services were the be...

So, erm, what is going on? I haven't been able to access any comicgen sites at all today. Did Wolf say he fixed it, or am I incapable of understanding English? It would be nice if the sitestats problem was fixed along with this problem. The stats haven't properly represented my taffic for practicall...

I'm pretty sure we still count as new, as we started up in January '06. I do most of the comic The Prime of Ambition ( http://jaadrih.comicgenesis.com/ ), which is what I tend to call a fantasy drama. It looks , at first glance, like a fantasy epic, but I don't call it that because the plot doesn't ...

I got mine from here: http://www.myshoutbox.com/ The bad thing is it tend to go down every now end then, randomly without warning. However, you get a nice variety of choices for color and post length and such. I can't seem to get it to accept "bad words", although I've turned that filter off many ti...
