Re: Webcomics 101 for Teens
Be willing to take criticism, and don't let the people who seem to feel as if bad webcomics raped and murdered their entire family get to you. Related to that, avoid drama. Just avoid it. Don't expect to be an overnight success. Don't blather about your personal life in your blog - noone cares. If y...

Re: Guilty Pleasures...?
I still absolutely love Dragonball and DBZ.
I also like Naruto.
I am not ashamed of either of these things.

PHPBB 3. [solved]
How is it?
I need to set up some forums soon, and I have always used PHPBB, but the spam problem has gotten way out of control. Is three more secure, or would I better off using some other software?
Also, does the latest version of PHPBB have a captcha system built in?

Re: Convention Season!
I might go to Anime North.
I plan, barring any catastrophe, to attend the Paradise Comicon and The Toronto Arts Comic Festival.
I might also go to the Expo, but I doubt it. I used to love it, but now it's far too crowded for my liking.

Re: Distributing your print comic - how to do?
Given the subject matter of your comic, maybe you could work with local drug dealers and include a free book with every ounce of weed or something. Now for a more serious response, I will recommend persuing the same resource I recommend to everyone looking for advice on all things comics: Digital We...

If you have a comic in which the intent is to shock people, you may not get much of a reaction. If you have something like Family Circus and one day draw one of the characters with a raging hard-on, then you'll get hatemail. Excellent point. The closest thing I've ever gotten to hatemail are the pi...

Re: Some questions for comic readers and writers
IF a comic offers printed versions, do you buy them? Do you PREFER them? If you offer printed books of your comics; WHY do you? Was it requested, did you see a potential for profit, did you just think it might be nice to see it printed, et cetera? If you don't (yet) offer printed versions, would yo...

It's not what you're looking for, but Good Ship Chronicles is a pretty decent comic about the crew of a starship and one of the characters is an alien.

Yes, I'm still working on it! C.W. of these very forums has been a huge help, and he's done mockups for Comicopia, which I would like to get your opinions on: Main page Comic page Here's what all the different things/sections are for so you guys know: The gray box at the very top of the page is for ...

Alright, I'm go to a website expecting to have decent art and writing, that updates somewhat regularly and is at least entertaining, and end up viewing a webcomic that has atrocious art and story, is just degrading and sick, that updates only a few times a year, and isnt' entertaining, at all. If I...
