Re: buh?
Everything about Family Guy's style is broad caricature of Simpson's style. Bingo. From the get-go, it seemed Family Guy was trying to out-Simpsons The Simpsons. They imitated the Simpsons' (at the time) very unique pacing and narrative style, not to mention specific types of jokes that no one else...

Wow, you lasted longer than I did. I can't take more than three or four seconds before I feel the urge to punch whatever character is on screen in the face.McDuffies wrote:When I first watched Family Guy, back before cancelation, it took me something like three episodes to get sick of it.

Re: Petty, stupid shit from CG forum members
I was just wondering how long it'd take before the thread title got changed. Is it kosher to link to threads on other forums? Cause, y'know.... just in case anyone is wondering how this is all gonna turn out...

Why are the black chess pieces the bad ones? This is just another example of Hollywood racism.

I love that movie.Laemkral wrote:The Prince Caspian chapter of the narnia movies was blah. It felt even more preachy, with even more thinly veiled Christianity parallels. Yeah, we get it, "only thru Him can you ever do stuff" and faith and things. At least things were a bit darker.

WTFingF? How the hell could this even happen? Who would ever think this was a good idea, that they could get away with it, and that they had any kind of legal or moral right to do it? And - what the hell were they trying to accomplish?

Best part: Admiring the finished work, when I'm happy with the result.
Worst part: Looking over the finished work, recognize it for the utter crap that it is, knowing I'll put it up on the site anyway.

Re: Active fans??
I rarely get any comments, even from people I know. Something that did work, however, was to say hi to a specific country or region I was surprised to see people visiting from (in my case, Norway). You might try it, see what happens. Norway? I'm from Norway! *checks out Inshue's comic* See? Mention...

I'm not convinced she's dead. I mean sure they shatter her body. but they show that shard containing her eye and she's crying. Either they went for spooky dramatics or its saying she's not out of the picture yet. Apparently, the writers have said they intended for the "wink" (or whatever that was) ...

Re: The Raiders of the Lost Ark Story Conference
Maybe, just maybe this will make the people who always give Lucas the blame for everything wrong with the Indy movies (the latest one especially) and none of the praise for what's good STFU. Lucas is clearly the guy with the good ideas here. Honestly, I'm still going to blame him. Lucas was, once, ...

I happily bought all of the Rocky movies on DVD. They are however the only movies I have in my DVD collection that star Sylvester Stallone.
