I thought I'd make a stop by here to see how it is, and I see this. I don't want the forum's final(?) days to be remembered by posts talking about how much of a shIthole the place is. If nothing else, I'd like to see the forum at least last until it's time for Doodles XIII, which is relatively close...

It all seems so long ago... I think there was one jam, or attempt at a jam sometime in the last couple years, but it never finished. Anyway, it looks like I'll be here off and on for quite a while longer. Good to see there's still some life around here yet!

Well, the tropical storm (Andrea) didn't give my area a direct hit, so that's good news. I did get a lot of rain and some wind, though. Also, I realized that if we were still having the Comic Cookouts at the traditional time (early June), I would have been caught in the rain delays at Tampa. Inciden...

Is there any more interest of this? I was thinking maybe we could have a meet-up Aug. 25 or 26 in Chicago, now that I know someone in this community is there (and Yeahduff at that!). We do, after all, seem to be running out of time for a Cookout in 2012. Any later than say, October, and the cookout ...

No, there hasn't been a cookout yet. Nor does it look like there's going to be one this year, it seems. I'm open to doing a meet-up between August 25-30. It could be here, it could be there, it could be anywhere in the USA that someone lives near and knows. EDIT: Granted a passport would be necessar...

Nah, I don't think that's the issue. At the other extreme, you still don't get noticed as much as you might think. And both topics were about the same time anyway. Spammers, why do you insist on spamming us so? CGers, it looks like another wave is coming. We need to gather our forces to stop this spamfest once and for all!

If tradition continues, Webcomic Above You VII won't be due until late winter or spring of next year, as usually it is a few months before the Comic Cookout that summer.

I'll be up there the weekend of July 30th, so yeah, 10AM at Penn Station on the 30th sounds good.

I think Saturday would be better. That way, if anyone was still around Sunday, maybe they can see the sights of the city before returning home.
