Re: Timeframe for approving banners etc?

Ah, good to know I'm not alone. I was about to make a topic on the same thing. X_X; Following the Wiki, there shouldn't be anything to do after uploading - at least on our ends... I think I read somewhere that the normal wait time is a week, but... Well, I'm amazed you've been so patient if you uplo...

Re: backgound image

Doable in CSS. (If you know how to handle stylesheets, this should be pretty easy) All you need to do is: body { background: #FFF url(FILENAME OR PATH GOES HERE) repeat-x fixed top; } http://w3schools.com/css/pr_background.asp :3 You could declare it in different properties, but I think that's usual...

Re: Need Help with FTP 553 Error "Permission Denied" (unsolved)

I know this probably sounds like a sucky solution, but have you tried copying all the files to your computer and deleting/recreating the folder in FTP? :X Or it won't let you at all...? ...Hmm. (It's not a great solution, but it's worked in the past for me on a particularly picky server I had access...

Re: Need Help with FTP 553 Error "Permission Denied" (unsolved)

The history lesson was actually much appreciated. I have another comic that's been on CG for a while (and I have not altered the layout), so I was unaware that had occured! :D

Thank you. That actually makes my life a lot easier, now that I know.

Re: Need Help with FTP 553 Error "Permission Denied" (unsolved)

Not allowed to set permissions, period. It's gotten a little better since yesterday - not sure what happened, but I can now can write to everything in my workspace directory...! (Big improvement - at least I was able to rig everything for updates!) Still not able to do a whole heck of a lot with pub...

Re: 'News' as the main page?

Oooh, ouch, that's... a toughie. I doubt it's actually possible, which is kind of a bummer in that case. The way the autokeen software generates the links from those tags seems to be something you can't really change. I'm not sure how often your comic updates (only took a quick glance, sorry!), but ...

Re: Need Help with FTP 553 Error "Permission Denied" (unsolved)

Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one with the permissions errors. I just got my auth for password and such on my new account (kibou.comicgenesis.com) - I'm unable to write files to (what should be) my directories. It's a bit of a pain since I can't do a danged thing, ya know? How long is it gonna take ...

Please excuse the smartass "password-field" text. You shou...

If you do it yourself using position: absolute; you'll get better code, but it's not exactly an efficient way to do it. Mmm, I agree. It does work a lot better, but it's not really that great if you're trying to be "friendly" to people with lower resolutions. ------ (Sorry if this all seems like re...

I definitely agree with that. But whatever way you decide to go, just enjoy it, you know?

Good luck, Tang!

Watch out Hector... Hum, I wonder what happened to the page? This requires some investigation! mmyes.... *edit* It looks like it was a calendar burp, perhaps? I'd think that maybe it's something that could be fixed manually... or just playing around with the URLs. But you're right. This page rocks. ...

Yeah... Though, instead of it being a sonic-based attack, it could just be a release of magical energy whilst she's screaming. Kind of like how people make sounds when they're performing martial arts? Anyway. Yeah, it doesn't seem like Hector'd jump into someone's cleavage, but I'd think he'd act th...

Well, you know, I've always thought that the cat Spring was after was Hector.

Though, in the original, she was doing it straight from the dream, which probably explains why it was a Siamese... :X It was her siamese she was dreaming of~! hehe. Maybe?

Welps, looks like it's past the deadline...
And, Sushi, I get PSP and Photoshop mixed up too... I look at it the same way.

PSP... it comes with a few extra programs, I think. And it can do a little 3d, not much though... That's all I've seen though.

Heh, I can relate.
I'm used to using Oekaki or Art Dabbler... Photoshop was a BIG but needed change for me.

Though... I've never used PSP... Some of the file associations are the same, aren't they though?

I'll have to say that the shading does add a bit more to the image -- It makes it look more realistic...
What program do you use?
