Re: Photoshop Tutorial
I think it was written by someone on this site, it involved selecting stuff, inverting selections, pasting to blank backgrounds. Does anyone know what I'm trying to remember?

Photoshop Tutorial
There was a website I remember once reading, it had a tutorial for people who scan pen and ink drawings and then edit them in photoshop. It took you step by step through isolating your pen lines pasting them onto a blank canvas, adding borders, etc. Google doesn't share my brain, and thus I can't fi...

Your best ideas mean nothing unless you can convince someone else to care about your great ideas. Without a hook you're just speaking to yourself.

don't call it a comeback
hey, I am restarting waisthigh after a long hiatus. I was wondering if y'all could give me comments and criticism on two of the last comics I drew so that I know what I need to work on as I shake off the rust. http://waisthigh.comicgenesis.com/d/20060215.html http://waisthigh.comicgenesis.com/d/2006...
yes, I to do not understand this, women are crazy talk. The thing is, women are hot. Very hot. Not that men aren't attractive themselves. But women are hot. And good conversators. And definately not crazy. And what more in life can one want than to have someone to sex, and then go to farmer's market...
Well, it's a problem from the point of view of nations that are facing negative population growth because if the trend continues, they might be extinct and their culture might be repressed by the culture of, say, immigrants from third world who arrive to fill the void in working population. Of cour...
But of course, negative population growth is a large problem in western world nowadays, which evidences that less and less couples want to have kids; Though, it doesn't tell of how much people with kids don't love their children; Actually, it's usually interpreted by that parents usually settle for...

Oh, I never said I was particulary unhappy with my parents. Currently, we have a lot of disagreement being that the career that I decided for myself isn't their first choice (which is ridiculous being that this career is one of electroengineer, not something exotic) and we fight about that (and a f...

... that's got to be the most awkward thing thing i've ever read on a message board I figured it would have to come out eventually, I just never wanted to make a big deal out of it. And yet you told us about food orgies. I forget sometimes that most people don't have parties where they dance naked ...
So when he disowned me for being transexual it was a blessing. Hopefully this is long enough that I won't have to elaborate on that last sentence. ... that's got to be the most awkward thing thing i've ever read on a message board I figured it would have to come out eventually, I just never wanted ...
I'll make this long so people'll ignore it. I haven't talked to my father in two years. I haven't been allowed to step foot in the home I grew up in for a year. My relationship with my mother is deteriorating and it's getting to the point where I'm astranged from all my family aside from my brother....

Re: Why make webComics?
1) Why make webcomics? Because I'm just starting to draw seriously and I can't ever see good enough for the UPI from where I'm standing. So I get to post my attempts at art, have people read them, gains fans, get feedback, the benefits are many. 2) Do you feel connected to a webcomic community? (wh...

for me (to answer my own question) it's evolved as my artwork has evolved. At first I needed the borders, otherwise the panels wouldn't line up and I'd have one frame that needed to be two inches and another that would have to be 4. As I've gotten less suckier (some might say better, I haven't reach...

Panels.
How do people feel about panels?
Do those that use them have them as preset guidelines before you draw, or do you put them in afterwards?
Do you find panels limiting? Neccesary? A neat tool if known how to use correctly?
What is the average speed of an unladden Swallow?
