Well, what to say. From the other side of things, the japanese cartoonists probably don't like american cartoonists cheapening their work by imitating it. EDIT: Okay, I got more. There was a time, I remember, in the mid-90's, when our local comic shop started carrying Japanese comics and animation. ...

Re: define

and every "black" movie I've ever seen had someone somewhere using the "N" word. So why single out boondocks? maybe because it's a cartoon and cartoons are perceived as being only for children. and if there's anything every single freaking parent on this earth freaks about it's.... oh god my child!...

Yeah, color sucks. If I knew how to make Photoshop create a lineart-like layer out of my lineart, I'd actually bother coloring and shading stuff.

But most of my stuff is in Black And White.

Growing up with the Commander Mark school of drawing, I've found the easiest way to make drawing not a chore is to make zooming sounds as I quickly sketch out what I want on the paper.

It is doubtful that Errant Venture will ever end. By my estimates, I have over two years of material gleaned from my excellent players from three hour once-a-week sessions over seven or so months. And that's just one story in that universe. The first two story comics only covered the first half hour...

I believe I would call myself an illustrator, not a cartoonist or webcomicker. Because I take written descriptions and translate them into the visual medium, which is what a illustrator does.

Herbivores vs. Carnivores vs. Omnivores...

Humans are thought to have been arboreal herbivores before ecological pressure forced them to leave the trees and seek other means of sustenance. In our case, speed and mobility was a necessity due to the environment we lived in, which is also why we have binocular vision and can see color. To put i...

The only problem I can see is... what sort of species did they come from before attaining sentience? Typically the adaptations you list, and the appearance given, would indicate defensive adaptations by herbivores to fend off predators (tough skin, horns, club-tail). While the herd instinct could de...

Upscale? From Wal-Mart maybe. But we're talking Target crap draws a few less flies than Wal-Mart crap which draws a few less flies than K-Mart. Not that it matters to me. I worked at Wal-Mart and still shop there 'cause my town sucks enough that it doesn't have either of the others. Eh, they want t...

Col: Yes. Dutch: If it were JUST an art supply store, I'd see your point. It's not. Half the stock consists of large, incomprehensable figurines, framed art, mirrors, pillows, throw blankets and...stuff... that people insist on buying in large quantities. I checked out maybe three to five hundred p...

*sigh* I've seen no announcements that it's a big problem, so it must be me. And the feedback form is a big fat 404. So I'm left using the forums. Any ideas at all? I'm pulling my hair out. I even checked the advanced options for the comic under siteadmin to make sure that something wasn't amiss the...

I wonder... Have you tried re-uploading dailytemplate, overwriting the old one and triggering an update? Hmmm... come to think of it, that might be it. Just noticed the last modified date on the dailytemplate that's already up there, but that's just the last uploaded date... anyway, trying this sug...

Checked that just now. Yes, dailytemplate.html exists. Yes, the file looks exactly the same as I left it last week. Yes, the permissions are set correctly so that the updater can pick it up. The only difference I can think of between this week and last week is that I used the new FTP tool on the sit...

It's still not generating archive pages for the comic. I've already tried changing the extensions to all uppercase and all lowercase, and nothing.

Are there any settings I should be aware of that might have been changed, thus altering the way the updates are processed?

Re: Autokeen Killed My Daily Archives.

I'm not sure how... or why, but the updating software killed the beejeezus ouf of the contents of /d folder. There aren't any HTML files in them. I tried manual updates... didn't work... the files are still missing. Part of the problem may be that your images have a .GIF extension. Comicgenesis is ...

Wall is less than 15 years old, but is an adult, and was 'born' an adult. Harnet is just an adult for his species, which... is probably 16 for sessra, IIRC. The three humanoid characters who haven't shown up yet fall between 20-30 years old. The shay-an hunter is probably 400 years old. Then there's...
