I'm not sure what caused the problem, but just don't upload things to public_html. It's tedious, but if you want to test pages it would likely be safer to just upload to workspace/comics/ and then trigger an update. Actually, it's not tedious, it's the easiest thing in the world. Or was until a few...

My comic won't update even after I deleted the old file
I often post a new comic, then notice some flaws in it, make some changes and replace it with the newer version. I do this by simply replacing the old file in Public HTML - Comics with a new one with the same name. It's always worked before, and I could see the new version instantly by reloading the...

Well, I am looking for an artist too, as I simply haven't the time to keep "Luna" to a regular schedule, and have dozens and dozens of already written scripts that I haven't time to illustrate. I know it will be practically impossible to find anyone, especially the RIGHT person, but figured I'd make...

Well, I would really love to find an artist to take over the drawing on my strip Luna, as I don't have the time to do it often enough and don't have the skill to do the kind of polished art required for syndication. I DO have the time to write it, indeed I have tons of scripts already written, waiti...

Transferring Domain Name to New Registrar a bother?
I might transfer my domain name to a new, cheaper registrar. One consideration about whether I will do this is the concern that it might cause work for the CG administrators. I don't want to cause them to do any extra work. If I just set the DNS to ns3.comicgenesis.com and ns4.comicgenesis.com with ...

The big surprise to me has been how Haboo Soilyface has tended to upstage the two main characters -- Luna and the Reactor. What started as a squiggle has taken on a life and personality of his own and may well run away with the strip when I get around to drawing some of my already-written storylines...

I'm still using Keenspace DNS for my URL...should I change?
I have my own URL, and have never changed my webhost domain name settings to comic genesis--the DNS is still set as ns3.keenspace.com and ns4.keenspace.com. My URL still gets forwarded to my site hosted on what is now Comic Genesis. No problem accessing my site with this old info. Also I still ftp t...

I realized that the problem was mainly just the flesh tones and the yellow, which looked too green. Other colors may get hotter, but they still look okay and I can deal with that just by realizing that anything on my LCD screen will look hotter on a CRT and taking that into account when I color. Aft...

Thanks for the replies. Well, I have a 5 year old laptop, but the screen still is very bright and looks fine. I think the colors on it look better than a CRT, and the text is definitely crisper. But I notice this big difference in the colors every time I use a CRT in a cybercafe. I don't know about ...

Comics colored on LCD screen look awful on CRT monitors
I draw my comics on a laptop with an LCD screen, and color them in a way that pleases me. I've noticed that when I view them in a cybercafe or other place with a CRT monitor instead of an LCD, the colors look awful! They are way too "hot", the yellows look greenish, the pale flesh tones of the chara...

Well I just deleted luna.20051030.png from Public-html-comics, and deleted its corresponding file from the D folder. Then I uploaded the comic to Workspace-Comics and changed my SiteAdmin to Auto update at the time you specified, Pillywiggin. It's still displaying the 10-23 comic, even though it's w...

Okay, this is weird. I had posted the 10-30 strip in Public-html-comics and it didn't update. Then it did update. But then I decided to do a revision and deleted the old version from Public-html-comics and uploaded the new version. This is something I do all the time as I spot little flaws in the st...

Auto Update...today's comic? tomorrow's comic? Confusing!
I've finally gotten to the point where I'm trying to upload comics in advance of their viewing date. But I cannot figure out how Auto Update distinguishes between Today's Comic and Tomorrow's Comic. I want my comic to update every Sunday, at midnight Eastern Standard Time. Meaning midnight when Satu...
