I can think of a bunch of reasons to bitch about things you get for free, that are perfectly legitimate: 1. It didn't cost money, but there is an implicit favor to be done in return for it. The definition of "free" can be sketchy sometimes. 2. You are giving critique to the creator of whatever it is...

My main creative outlet have for many years been roleplaying games. Right now, I've become kinda tired of them, though, and so I don't have any projects running.

I have plans for writing a novel, but to say that they are vague would be to qualify for the "understatements" thread.
