Congrats! That a quite a milestone. I think it will take Duchess twenty years to get that many pages. The fact that your able to do that in such a short time span is amazing.

How do you keep track of such a complex story line with so many characters?

Duchess is about living under strange circumstances and the consequences of the choices you make. I suppose non of my characters are invincable and should the story call for it they'll die. But I think Amelia, Azom and Brune are probably safe. Maybe... Dang it now you got me thinking about it... D: ...

I offically declare google analytics to be crap. It's under reporting my visits to be 50% lower than comicgenesis and it reports today's result at 5 in the afternoon!

A disappointment.

I had an offer to draw duchess mew from some one on devient art before my wife decided/was convinced to do it. There are artists out there who would enjoy drawing some else's scripts but they generally are not in a webcomic forum. Most writer/artist teams are longtime friends in real life or married...

As an alternative to stickers you could slip bussiness cards with your web address inside of the books. That way you would not be damaging the books unless they remained there for a long time. It is still of dubious legality tho.

My character are becoming much easier to write. Their character traits are stablizing finally and I'm beginning to get a handle on Amelia's real personallity. I'm just proud that I've managed to write so far ahead of the artist lately, it will allow me to take the time to revise the strips. I have a...

I'm currently attempting to write as many duchess mew scripts as I can so I can rewrite and revise them before they get drawn. Because of this and the summer videogame slowness webcomics are a very frequent conversation topic with my wife, who draws the comic. My parents think the comic is cute and ...

I've been using google analystics for three days now and it reports very different stats than comic gen's built in statistics. Comic gen reports a over a hundred visits while google reports less than 50 :(

Anyone know why they are so different?

I disargee, that comic just bleeds artsy pretension.

Their best one is the lizard fire, in my opinion.

Well its rumored that penny arcade gets about 200,000 visitors a day and Pvponline gets about 50K. Those are the big boys. I wish I knew about some other comics though like sluggy, somethingpositive and inverloch. I believe it was mentioned by Randy of something positive that you need about 4000 vis...

Hey Andy, I just cruised through your archive and I'm impressed. Its a really neat concept with servicable art. While I didn't laugh loud it definitely made me grin. I like the black and white vs. color style. One critism is your main character is very 2d and shallow. He's a lonely anxious guy and t...

Do you dig: Surreal comics

Lately (Last night and today) I've been running into several well done surreal comics. The first one and my favorite so far is copper at: http://www.boltcity.com/copper/copper_034_steps.htm Then I found Minus at: http://www.kiwisbybeat.com/minus1.html And finally http://www.alessonislearned.com/ I t...
