A plethora of fora

Feel free to post here if you want, but there's another LWN forum at Talk About Comics. Feel free to post there, too.

I was very amused by the "No fighting to the death" sign on the rooftop.

Hold off on this for the time being... I've found another webcomic BBS that might be able to offer a forum for my Keenspace comic. Will reactivate this request if that one falls through. Thanks!

I like that solution. I'll have to try it.

Check your indextemplate.html file. Does it have ***next_day*** in it? I'd bet that's your problem. I'm using ***next_day*** and the "next day" icon appears where it should on all the pages where there is a next page. It's the ghosted version of the graphic that doesn't show up, but I'm pretty sure...

I just redid all my nav graphics and the ghosted next still isn't showing up. Not a major problem since it's only supposed to appear on the most recent strip, but still is a little irksome.

I'm having that same problem. All of the other ghosted images come up fine, but not the "next".

News Reporter Death

Next week I'm doing a LWN about Neil Gaiman auctioning off the naming rights for a cruise ship in his upcoming novel, Anasasi Boys . It would be damn funny if anybody could draw Gaiman's Death character from the Sandman comic book series as a news reporter in a style something like the news reporter...

My characters are clip-art based but if that's all right I'd love to give them a chance to get out and about.

Update jams

I'm new to Keenspace so the current problem with the manual updates is new to me (it's been 12 hours since I put in an update request and I'm still in a queue of 4694 requests). I take it this is something that happens fairly often, but I was wondering how often, what causes it, and what might be do...

This is comics related because it's a request for personal experiences I can use in a comic about last weekend's SAT. How is that off topic?

From what I've read, each of the essays is graded by two readers and then by a third only if the first two are more than a point apart. But that's still a subjective standard.

The New SAT

It's been a long time and a few format changes since I took the SAT, but I wanted to write something up about the newest incarnation of the test for LWN. Did anyone here take the test this weekend? How was it? Any funny SAT-related stories or speculation about how the test might be changed in the fu...

Letters to the Editor

Yee-hah! I've gots me a week's worth of archives, a bright yellow template, and a shiny new banner. It's almost like I know what I'm doing. Now's the time to go on hiatus. I'll be out of the country and away from all things electronic for three weeks in April, so I thought perhaps I could run a "let...

Well, I'm not sure I know how the J-meister would feel about that great pumpkin bit.
It would be canon. Gospel of the Great Pumpkin would come somewhere between Character Genesis and Fourth Panel Revelations.
