Well, brains can be a good source of calories... I think they are high in fat... and you need an adequate supply of calories for optimal brain growth... but eating adequate amounts of pretty much anything nutritious, would result in optimal brain growth. If you take zombies as your example, well, ea...

Re: This week: Fingers and shading
Somehow my hands always end up a) too stubby, or b) reaching down to the thighs. Any tips? Are you also referring to general limb proportions? I'm no expert, but one tip that has worked fairly well for me, is to have the wrist be in line with the crotch. That will make the arm the right length. And...

Intelligence doesn't HAVE to be associated with being a predator. It can be associated with habitually living in large social groups. Like baboons, who don't have to work very hard to outwit the leaves and grass and stuff that they eat. :D Also orangutans and gorillas are quite brainy when compared ...

If you want to keep the tusks, why not have them stick out to the side? Your aliens would have to be careful when turning their heads in the presence of friends and family, though :) The reason for clothing can be something cultural like a concept of propriety or modesty. Or, clothing can serve the ...

I consider myself mostly an author, mainly because for me the process of making a strip starts with writing the script, advancing the plot, character development, etc. If my drawing skills were better, I might call myself a cartoonist or illustrator. As it is, I'm a doodler. :) I seldom try to plug ...

I originally intended for ISOHE to be a self-contained little story, perhaps one or two thousand strips long. ("Little story"? Aheh.) But then I got all kinds of ideas for how to continue it. So the planned end-point got pushed much farther into the future. It still had a definite end-point though. ...

That's why I like the computer... undo. I've messed up too many hand drawings with bad coloring to ever want to go back. I used to be scared of inking my drawings, because I thought I'd screw them up. Then I just went ahead with it, inked them... and screwed up more often than not. Now I'm less sca...

The little animations seem okay to me. Especially because they only animate when you mouse-over them, so they're not always moving, which can be annoying. I think I agree that the links to archive, stuff, email, and the little calendar, should all be in a line on just one side of the comic, keeping ...

Do you basically just want to add more stuff to your main page? Or do you want to create new separate pages, like an archive page and a cast page? Learning HTML is pretty useful, and it's very easy, I'd really recommend it. (It took me about 3 hours to learn enough to create my first website.) And o...

Hmms. Nice and simple looking, nice font. I think the monochrome colour scheme works pretty well with your greyscale comics. The animated whatnot on the "email me" icon is cute. Are the "stuff" and "links" icons supposed to do animation too? Because when I hover my mouse over them, there's just one ...
