Ooo! Shiny!

It looks like the admins at Keenspace finally got off their duffs and fixed the bug that prevented people from reactivating inactive accounts. As a result, I have now returned. Please resume your normally scheduled conversations.

SoG Problems

For reason as yet unknown, trying to visit Savior of Grace is giving me Y&Y's comic on SoG's page (when the page will load at all). Trying to click on SoG's forum sends me here.

Have the PTBs given you any word on when this will be fixed?

I'm not going to ask my fans, no matter how generous, to buy me a $25 pen...I'm sorry, but I have principals... Didn't you used to sell original sketches for somewhere in that price range? Why not let us buy you the pen, but promise that the first thing it will be used for is a piece of original ar...

Sounds like someone engraved it on your brain Actually, it sounds like she's been reading Roger Zelazney, but Zelazney got his stuff from the Real World, so it could be that she and Zelazny simply used the same source material...On second thought, I'm pretty sure Jes uses the original. While they d...

As it so happens, I'll be picking up my own school supplies later today. This leaves me with only two questions: 1)What kind of paper do you prefer? 2)Where should I send it? OK, <strike>three</strike> four: 3)Do you need pens, ink or other supplies too? 4)What are you preferred brands/styles? --

Re: New Here

I liked how much detail was into the magic and markings. Some people might not put that much backstory or knowledge into something like this. Speaking of which, I've pretty much been taking it on faith that the markings and magic actually do have meaning. There's a pattern that I can almost see, bu...

Is there a way to change the look of the button for the "previous" on that page only so it says "classic"? Could we do that? Because this sounds exactly like what I want to do! AFAIK, the only way to do that is to delete Keen's buttons entirely, and put in patch like I did before with your own butt...

Well, I'm talking about all of his writing, not just the Hobbit... <snip> But you catch my meaning about the description... Yes, I do, although I can't let the point pass without noting that most of Tolkien's writing, as we know it today, wasn't really his writing. The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tale...

For me, reading, say, The Hobbit. is mentaly taxing. Why? <snip> Because Tolkien writes "we're in the shire." Good, cool. Shire. Self explaintory. <snip>he has to describe the Shire for not 1, 2, or 3 pages, but 8.... Actually, Tolkien wrote The Hobbit for his children, who were 6 or 7 years old at...

Personally, I say to hell with your polls. Do whatever you want. But then again, that may just be because I'm reading Atlas Shrugged right now...

They might be boring, but I'm still being careful with my first edition[1] set. They'll probably be worth money some day. On a more serious note, I'm actually kind of glad I decided not to take my daughter to see the film. And no, it's not because she's 3 years old and could never sit still for a 3 ...

The poll

The poll(s?) glych posted this morning aren't working. However, based on the subject lines, I'm guessing she wants us to tell her what in want in relation to the new NS, although I'm not sure if that's Re: format, content, or what. Until the poll gets working, this is the thread to tell her. I want ...

*Siece ponders this.* I signed. Unfoturnatley, however, politicians dump online petitions straight into the trash can.
