use a glossy paper for the cover. it's generally a thicker stock than regular paper, so it'll give it a better feel as a cover. also, i think some of the pixma models can do to the edge printing for 8.5 by 11 paper.

PSP for me! it 's fairly cheap. and works great for me. i tried photoshop. but for some strange reason PSP was more intuitive for me to use.

i too make faces when i draw or write. also i sometimes i have dreams where my characters come and talk to me. also i do squinting your eyes things too. i was taught to do that in an art high school to do that to help you decide what were gray values of your drawing
