You know, I don't know what it is some of you guys have against the CRFH board. It's a fun place, and it's not entirely composed of nonsense. We have plenty of comic relevant threads, as well as art and fanfic, so don't think that this board is part of some higher standard.

It's actually a very common family name in Japan. Tanaka was one of the first kanji words that I learned back in first year college level Japanese.

The director of the next Star Trek film shed some of his impressions in a recent Sci-Fi Wire article. Here's a link.

I have to agree with him. Letting a fresh mind in as director could be one of the best things to happen to the film.

Defining a film by its script alone isn't a very good approach.

I remember when my family when on vacation to Europe several years ago, we were watching TV in Paris and to our surprise they had the sitcom "Step By Step" dubbed in French.

Well, at least it wasn't Full House.

Gah!

Bah. DAMN YOUR PUNS!!!!

Still, not every little niggling detail in Enterprise or any Trek needs to be analysed for weaknesses in continuity. It's a form of entertainment first and formost; those who make Trek a way of life are secondary.

Vulcan may have been a hot, dry planet, but from my understanding was still far from Arrakis. Also, who says the submarine was on Vulcan? Perhaps it was a submarine on another world.

Counting the Queen Mum and Chuck Jones, that makes five famous deaths in a matter of a couple of weeks. If famous people usually go in threes, that means that another one may go any day now!

Star Trek is many things. Some would argue that Star Trek IV isn't Star Trek. First Contact works on the kinetic action level. It has more to do with doing than saying. Without variety in the styles of the films, the Star Trek series would look like the same film over and over again. Variety is the ...

MST3K officially began in around 1989, I believe. It was a public access show based in I think Michigan. Consequently, none of the episodes from its brief public access run will ever be commerically available because they didn't go through the official channels for the film rights when they made the...

T'Pol's in the chain of command because Archer wants her on board. The Vulcans have a far more vast knowledge of space than humans at this point in Trek chronology.

And First Contact was a good Trek movie.

Those are just rumors. In reality, the film didn't require any changes. The reshoots performed were minor, but not drastic. The WTC was never a centerpiece to a Spider-Man action sequence beyond the specially made teaser trailer.

That was just freaky. I went onto imdb.com and saw obituaries for Moore, Wilder and Berle all on the front page. I'm especially a fan of Wilder's work. He was a brilliant director and deserved all the recognition that people gave him.

I haven't seen much Dr. Who, either. I caught the last five minutes of a Tom Baker episode on a PBS station a few months ago, but haven't been able to find it since. From what I saw though, the show looks awesome.

This was a fun episode to be sure. I loved the scene with the Ferrengi that attempted to communicate with Porthos (Archer's dog). It was pretty obvious that these guys weren't the sharpest tacks to leave the Ferrengi factory. It was nice how they managed to have a Ferrengi episode prior to th...

Spielberg tackled adults encountering alien beings well enough in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Similar themes of wonder, but there were adults just as curious as we expect children to be. As far as the Spider-Man trailer goes, if the trailer you watched was indeed the WTC trailer, it must hav...
