bubble and squeak, by definition is leftovers you fry. primarily leftover spuds and assorted veggies from a roast dinner.Laemkral wrote:Microwave. If something is going to be fried, it is because it was cooked that way. I never fry something to reheat.

Re: Which is harder, drawing or writing?
i see it like this: both have their fair share of difficulties, but it boils down to this.
It's easier to Improve with drawing than it is with writing, writing's far harder to criticise because most things you can't really put a finger on like one can with artwork.

Re: CG Forums Future - How can we help it?
I was finally able to read the whole thread. I'm still relatively new, too, and I'm not exactly the most knowledgeable about such things, but here's my .02 worth. I don't know anything about creative warfare, but I do like the idea of a total teardown and rebuild of parts of CG. Maybe start with th...

Re: CG Forums Future - How can we help it?
Guys I hate to say this, but maybe one of the larger issues at hand is simply that webcomics arent as popular as they used to be. We can start all the podcasts and marketing campaigns we want, but the fact is this site had its heyday back when webcomics were all the rage and not only did everyone w...

Re: CG Forums Future - How can we help it?
Yeah, an overhaul would be needed to ensure long term changes. A complete overhaul, COMBINED with a big PR stunt, that would work. Too bad I'm deep down too apathetic to actually do anything myself. Although I might start drawing and posting drawings again in the near future, not like that will mak...

Re: makes me feel all warm n fuzzy inside
*heaps of stuff from mo including creepy eyeless things after cope's own eyes.* I think, that while a PR stunt would be good on the short term, in the long run i honestly think that comicgen needs to reinvent itself on the whole, and while not only just attracting new blood, but making it worthwhil...

Re: CG Forums Future - How can we help it?
Also, do you think if the CG forums had a lot more activity, maybe Keenspot would give a damn? Honestly? i'd wouldn't hold my breath on this subject. A -lot- of folks had their beginnings here, and in reality these days a former shining beacon of entertainment has become something of a shadow of it...

Re: Is anyone else out there tired of Firefox?
i... actually prefer firefox from the UI standpoint, while the minimalist look is okay, there's something just comfortable in the traditional layout that firefox has.
as for chatzilla, i honestly prefer the old staple of IRC: mIRC.

The paranoiac he is, he's now probably convinced that there is a vast conspiracy against him on CG, and will probably attribute his future failures to it. like he'd need us to help him with that. :P granted, he's accused us of leeching his success off him, so he might just accuse us of leeching his...

Re: Furry Porn Thread (NSFW)
the amusing thing is, if memory serves, the total percentile of advertising traffic profit is rather minuscule... so that might mean all CG would "owe" our little friend would be change out of five cents. :P Edit: for the sake of curiousity, i had a read of Deviantart's TOS.
