Re: Saw District 9
pig on a gravity gun thats about all that needs to be said I lol'd. Seriously. In a movie theater full of people, I see a pick picked up and fired with a gravity gun in the middle of an epic fight scene, I literally laugh out loud. Overall I thought it was a very good movie, excellent special effec...

Re: advice on quitting sugar
Black coffee can still be drunk cold (or even with creme or skim milk) if you're trying to cut down on the sweets before the caffeine. As for the caffeine itself, it probably comes down to how well you can tolerate headaches and how badly you're addicted. I've quit the stuff a few times myself, and ...

Re: the caffeine poll
I fall into the Moderately Addicted category (week-long headaches suck).
Though it's been a few years since I've had any more than an extremely minor dose (1/4 cup of regular coffee at most), so I don't know if addiction wears off after extended detox.

I hope I've made somebody's day, regardless.
I have that book, never did read much of it.
It's on my list of things to get back to.

I'm gonna have to go with Cuddy on this one. A very competent doctor in her own right, plus able and willing to call in House or others when she knows she needs the help.
And any jerkiness she has is usually reserved for House.

Hey, Canada, wtf is up with this?
The head guy shutting down the government so he won't get voted out? You'd best be keeping that theory north of the border. We got enough bad ideas down here already that we're trying to clear out.

Re: Macy's RickRoll
Yeah, I saw clips of that yesterday. Kinda funny for those of us who've known about the meme, but now it's like the " All your base " thing of a few years back. I mean, it was one thing when Anonymous was rickrolling Scientology, but Cartoon Network pulling it on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? ...

If my family hadn't moved across the state halfway through my time in highschool, I'd probably be married to my high school sweetheart and have a kid or two in elementary school by now, working in one of the Big 3 US automakers (automotive design always seemed like an interesting thing) making 1/2 t...

Re: California's Proposition 8 Status (Gay Marriage Related)
The nationwide protests today should be interesting. It was pretty good. I missed the local march, but I did go to the rally afterwards to hear the speakers (somehow I don't think all of the estimated 20,000 protesters stayed for that, the crowd did seem pretty thinned out by then). Gave a bit of m...

Damn, you people make me look like the most boring guy in the world. No drama through social or family life, no stress or psychos hunting me down or looking to me to bail them out. Even in the midst of the national/global/whatever financial crisis I paid off the last of the loans I had and am now de...

http://www.youtube.com/v/XkzwJXDZ7aU&hl=en&fs=1 Wow. Indeed. Keith's comments are usually pretty good, and this is no exception. If only he'd taken a look at the potential consequences and done this before election night, it might have helped. Now it's going back into the hands of the courts, you k...

I confess that I have a fetish for robot-girls, and it includes partial disassemble (i.e. limb removal, to make them helpless), and also hooking them up to some sorta VR device for cybermolestings. Or some sort of Aperture Science Android-Molestation Docking Station Japan to the rescue: http://news...

Phft. You rank amateur. I'll teach you how to Rickroll . Okay, that was epic. Anyway, seeing as this thread is now about Rickrolling, how about this ? I admit that the intro kinda ruins it, but the guy in the trenchcoat more than makes up for that. Apparently some people didn't get tipped off by th...
